Oh Annie I’m just at the beginning and already crying. Daryl’s story sounds very much like my daughters 6 years ago. She was 19, dizzy, nauseous, unable to walk a straight line, constant severe headache, weak, and being told it was vertigo and then an inner ear infection. After 3 weeks like this they told us it was all in her head mentally. She was in the Navy and living pretty far from home. I begged her to go to the ER and ask for a CT scan. She did, low and behold they found a brain tumor the size of a plum on her cerebellum. I truly believe the Lord was with us and kept me questioning and not excepting the answers we were being given. I’m so very thankful Daryl survived his stroke and that you are both able to share your story. I literally remind myself daily that I can do hard things. Thank you for this!

My dad is a stroke survivor, heart attacks,4 way bi pass, miracle. His stroke was 23 years ago, we just celebrated my dad's 80th birthday. God is so good, thank You Jesus for your love, your blood shed on the cross because You paid for our sins, so we can have hope and future in God's Kingdom. I'm grateful for all You do for us all.

Thank y'all so much for sharing your story! It lets people like myself know we aren't alone. I lost my husband, the love of my life, the father to our 3 wonderful children, my soulmate, my EVERYTHING... To cancer almost 5 yrs ago. I prayed so hard for 7½ months. From the time of his diagnosis to the the time he took his last breath for God to spare his life. I even asked God to take me over him. But God had other plans. I don't know God's reasons for taking my wonderful husband Home at the age of 45 & 20 days young. One day when I get to heaven I will know. I don't know why God spared my life & not his. But I do know that God helped my kids & I get thriugh some really hard times. My husband too was misdiagnosed and he lost his life due to thst misdiagnosis. A whole year went by before a correct diagnosis was established. But God has helped us get through these hard things in life. And I know He will be with us through more hard things too. He shows me every single day that I'm stronger than I realize. When I think I'm at my breaking point God gives me the strength I need to pull me through. I have learned that I can find blessings all around me even if they are the smallest of blessings! Everyone can find blessings even in the hardest of times. Thsnk you again for sharibg your story! I cried so hard watching & thinking of what all you two must have went through. God is so good and I'm so happy you're here today Darryl to tell your story! Everyone can do hard things! Amen!!

My dad had a stroke and went to the ER and had a CT scan. They said he was fine and sent him home. Two days later he was back at the ER and a neurologist was there who informed us that it takes 24 hours to see a stroke on a CT scan. He said that many ER docs don’t know this (which I think is shocking). So if your loved one has stroke symptoms demand an MRI! so glad your husband is okay now 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Oh my Gosh, my Dad had the same type of Stroke at age 88. He also had two holes drilled in his brain. He did die, however. I am so sorry you both went through this!

Thank you for sharing your story. Praise God for answering your prayers--I'm sure He provided that ER doctor who finally diagnosed Darryl's stroke and those who provided the inspirational words that have given you hope to get through this very difficult time. You are such a special couple. Today is our 37th wedding anniversary and I would love to hear your love story sometime--how you met and anything about that story you'd be willing to share.

As I sit here and listen to you explain your-- “I can do hard things”!!!!! I fell over back wards to the pavement, bumped my head, super dizzy, severe headache, couldn’t walk. They did a MRI and found out I had had 2 strokes. I was “Mid diagnosed” with vertigo. Did the rehab for 2.5 months and got much better and was able to come home. I live alone so I had home health. I was assigned a specialist vertigo therapist. He was SUPER!!!! Praise God!!!!! Just in the last month I was taken off the vertigo medicine. God has been protecting me every minute!!!! Stay strong and talk to God everyday. Remember all things come from God, because of God, and through God. Please Dear God take care of Daryl and Annie. Amen.

If ever in same situation, always, always, call an ambulance. A family friend doctor always told us when brought in by ambulance you get to be treated first and fast. He is a very lucky man to have lived as long with wrong doctors treating him. God was definitely with him.. 😅😅 I would also let both doctors that gave wrong treatment of what the last doctor found, sounds like the first doctor needed to take more pictures in the CT. How scary that must of been, so sorry for your experience.🙁 Take care, and God bless.

We went through this with my husband except he had a heart attack w/o symptoms you normally see- I’ve been in pharmaceutical sales for 30 yrs & knew it was probably a stroke- being an advocate for my husband & INSISTING that he be tested immediately- they found he was suffering from a heart attack & had to have a quadruple bypass- always go by your gut feeling!! He’s back to normal and healthy- Thank God!!

And now I know. This video from a year earlier. I’m teared up. How thankful I am for you both that Daryl finally got the right diagnosis and treatment. Here I am watching you now with the “new old house”, but always wondering about the back story. Our Heavenly Father does love us so! And the Savior knows how to help each one of us, He paid the price to know us. Yes we all have difficult times. The ups and of life can be so challenging. I found you at the right time in my life, it’s not by chance. I’m grateful for your strength and faith, the smiles and positivity. Thank you. I Can Do Hard Things! Yes! Much love, your friend Cyndi. ❤️❤️🇺🇸

Ugh… I cried so so hard. I try to watch you every day during my lunch. … as you were telling your story, I could feel my throat getting tight… I had to stop eating and grab a Kleenex. I’m so so sorry you had to experience that. Both of you and your family. You will now be on my list of people to pray for before I go to sleep. Your story has really touched me. ❤
