For all the repeated story beats and gameplay segments, Route B really does have a lot of great moments that start to unpeel the layers of the story. But it speaks for how insane Route C is that all of this seems forgettable in comparison

I'm really impressed by how unhinged this is. I have never played this game and honestly now I kind of want to just to determine if the game is anywhere near as entertaining as this creative interpretation.

It is, but in a different way. While Chair's videos are unhinged, high energy, concentrated dopamine bursts, NieR in general is a lot more slow paced. Like a good lengthy novel, it's not shootouts and explosions every page, but an ever increasing crescendo of intrigue. If it catches you in its hooks, you'll have a wonderful time playing it.
