I like this idea. The team you have is very good. The only difference I'd make is swapping out Togekiss for Starmie. Starmie is her original ace, & doesn't get enough love now with the Gyarados. Also in the anime, Misty's Togetic is now elsewhere so she wouldn't be able to use it anyway. There is also no reason her gaming counterpart would get or use Togekiss either.

I don't know. Starmie was always a glass cannon without the cannon. It always went down in one or two hits without doing much damage. Staryu was more useful for some strange reason.

My problem with this team is Togekiss technically stills wild Pokémon and was never caught and Gyarados belongs to Misty sisters so he's out I'm just say Ash may have his flaws but at least his use and trains his own Pokémon at least until he hits a road block and only if it only that's what his Pokémon wants

@@castform7 well the anime had to make ash the star. If Brock and Misty were the ones beating everyone that wouldn't happen. Pikachu had to be the hero even if in theory starmie should be a lot more powerful. In the games starmie is actually a challenge because it's insanely fast and has a decent move pool.

starmie is so adaptable, sadly her starmie in the anime performed poorly. However her staryu won a lot considering it wasnt evolved, it probably could be a very strong pokemon once she evolves it and gives her access to a reliable electric attack user. It also can use recover so I think it would easily outpace corsola and remove rock typing which is generally a weakness and replace it with psychic

Seeing Misty owing a Kingdra would one of the best moments she's ever owned even adding that dragon typing that can use Dragon move still wish she kept'd w/her & did some training even leading up to Jotho following up w/its evolution if I have to replace Goldeen who's completely useless the same goes for her Staryu & instead she only has Starmie as her battler the same goes for Gyarados she catches early on in Kanto & struggles the same experience as Ash's Charizard to get it to listen to her becoming strong as a team!

Misty's weakest to strongest team are Horsea, Azurill, Clauncher, Goldeen, Starmie, Caserin (Luvdisc), Staryu, Psyduck, Corsola, Politoed and Gyarados.

I love water Pokémon so much and Misty was a favorite. I would swap Togekiss for Staryu, but by this point Misty would have used a water stone to evolve it into Starmie. Unlike her other Starmie that wasn’t as powerful, she can teach it Thunderbolt and Ice Beam for type coverage

Random thought: now that we know Paul has been offered to become a gym leader, what if he became the new Viridian Gym leader? He’s not a ground type specialist, yes, but what if it parallels Blue from the games and he has a mixed type team? Would be interesting to see. Also, it would be an interesting idea if, in the anime, he’s offered by Giovanni to be the one take over the gym when he’s “away”, and Paul doesn’t know of his true sinister nature. Just a fun idea for future Pokémon storylines, if we ever see more of Paul or Kanto as major series story roles again

Starmie needs to be on her team. With moves like Psychic and Power Gem it would give her excellent coverage thanks to its insane speed. I'd swap out a golduck she's likely never getting for it. I'd also replace togekiss since togetic is pretty much out of the picture as well. Put Dewgong in its place. It's bulky and is part ice type which can help cover the grass weakness with stab ice beam

Great team. I would switch Politoad with Starmie. While I love her Gyarados, Starmie is Misty's true ace in the manga and games. I can't imagine her elite four team without it. Another good back up with be her Quagsire to help with electric types. I love the idea of Misty in the elite four. One day, she replaces Loreli. Great idea.

I still wished that Misty's Horsea have evolved back in the original Pokemon Series because since it's part of Misty's team it hasn't done much battle and looks weak. If Horse had evolved into Seadra and later evolved into Kingdra then it could have become a powerhouse in Misty's team, I blame the japanese writers from the original series for not giving Misty's Horsea some developement or at least letting it evolved once.

Don't know if they'll actually do it, but Psyduck evolving would be a great physical showcase of its training: Going from barely being able to squeeze out Water attacks; let alone swim, and needing headaches to use its psychic powers properly, to finally overcoming these flaws to become an accomplished battler would serve as another big highlight for Misty. (Probably her biggest one.)

This would certainly make for a versatile team! I think the addition of Togekiss is a nice touch as well, as the sheer amount of coverage it can have would really help her team, and it could even have Water Pulse to keep the "Water Expert" theme in play if they wanted to go that route!

I really want an arc for each of the regions Ash has visited already where he revisits them, wins the league, and challenges the Elite 4. Kanto and Johto seemingly sharing an Elite 4 muddles things though. I thought maybe certain members of the Battle Frontier could fill in for repeat characters like Bruno and Lance but having Misty and maybe Giovanni graduate to the Elite 4 tier is a good option too if they ever planned to do something like this.

I think that Misty’s ultimate team would be 1, Mega Gyarados 2, Corsola 3, Kingdra it would be good to see another one of her Kanto Pokemon evolved into their Johto evolution offscreen like with Brock 4, Psyduck wether it evolves into Golduck or not 5, Politoad 6, Starmie or Staryu or Azumarill as I don’t think another of Ash’s companions needs a togekiss as Azurill is her new Baby Pokemon so it should get the spot light and if Misty got any new Pokemon Gastrodon or Sizmatoad as Ground would help with her weakness to ELectric Primarina because she was inspired by Lana’s and Vaporeon because it would be a nice tie into masters like how Cynthia returned with Kamon-o and Erika returned with Leafeon.

Also, I was on my morning walk and I talked a LOT about how my favorite duck pokemon is Psyduck! ahhhhh, its soooo plump and cute. I want to hug a Psyduck. I scream everytime I see one!! Psyduck! LOL but as my favorite type... Kingdra is my most favorite pokemon so if Misty gets a Kingdra, I would be happy. Sidenote: Dewgong is also a very cool choice too.

Personally I just cannot see Misty without her Starmie, granted she did not have it during a large portion of her travels with Ash, but remembering that tough starfish from Gen 1 game. I just cannot see Msity without it in her final team. Probably, if Togekiss is unavailable and Psyduck never evolves. Politoad, Kingdra, Corsala, Starmie, Azumarrill, and Mega Gyrados. I would put in the Azumarril, only because it should now have the Fairy typing as well. Enabling Misty to bait out Dragon type moves from opponents if they are trying to harm her Kingdra. Politoad with Drizzle ability to set up the rain... I forgot who exactly had swift swim and other power up abilities in the rain. Along with Starmie and Gyrados's natural speed and one covering Special Attack and the other Physical Attack. A brutal beat down for the unprepared.

Personally I love Psyduck way too much and I think it be best for the little guy to stay little. And as a Psyduck he isn't elite 4 material. So I would add in Starmie and Azumarill/dewgong instead.

Gyarados is one of the most powerful water Pokémon to acquire around the beginning if patience enough. I always look for the ways to get Gyarados in every single version there is, and to get the right nature and characteristics is 3x the patience but I always manage to get it. People might say why not catch a wild Gyarados later? My answer is the wild evolved one will not be as strong as the one caught as level 5 Magikarp. And an even stronger Gyarados is a bred one at Level 1 as Magikarp.

I'd personally swap out Corsola for Starmie. Other than, a pretty banger team, if you asked me! Edit: I'd also find a way to give Misty a Swampert, Seismitoad or Gastrodon. She has a crippling weakness to electric types, with the only exception being Kingdra, who isn't even a resist.

I think Togekiss and Corsola should be replaced by Starmie and Dougon. I could see Azumarill being an option too, but I think the two formers may just outrank it. It would also be cool to see Psyduck get much stronger and learn how to swim with ease if it didn’t evolve.

Good list professor! Also I agree mistys horsea & psyduck should evolve & also I would keep staru on her team and not as an alternative! I doubt togetic will rejoin mistys side, but it would be great to see it return and I think misty would do great in the elite 4!. - Misty the water type trainer - Brock the rock type trainer - Kiawe the fire type trainer - & either Paul with his strong Pokémon or Alain with his dark type Pokémon, or even, ash’s rival stephan from unova! He could potential have some more Pokémon and I think he would do well with having more fighting types on his side! And sawk would be his ace Pokémon!.

I enjoyed this. This is a pretty solid team for if she was in the Masters 8. I hope you will do this with Brock and other Not worthy travel companions of Ash. If Togekiss had to be replaced wuth an Water type I would go with Starmie.

I wouldn't mind seeing what may gym leader team would be. Personally I would love to see her as a gym leader that specializes in starter pokemon because in the anime she has 3 starters, 4 if you count eevee/glacion
