That look Mitch McConnell gave when he froze was 100% him just “realizing” where he was. Mentally, he blinked out of existence, then suddenly became aware, realized he was surrounded by reporters and was in the middle of saying something and had no idea what it was, and needed to construct a story real quick to justify what happened. But every second that passes just makes it worse. I’ve seen that look before with family members who were in mental decline.

For real on people having been in jail. I had a trainee who'd just gotten out of prison about a year before, after spending 11 inside. I didn't ask him why, figuring it wasn't my business. He told me himself after about a month when HE felt like talking about it. Not sure whether or not he killed someone, but he did his time, and that was that. Dude has a baby girl with his girlfriend and was going with a regular job. Did well too before I had to move away. Gotta give people a chance when you see they're just doing honest work.
@JessicaPradoHanson Жыл бұрын
Indeed, few people choose crime when they have healthier options. Those that have other options but still choose crime are the real problem and most of the people in jail seem to be their victims…. Like every pharma person should be looked into and held accountable when they knowingly harm people. And it’s so true that once you have been through crazy trauma you can smell when it is time to leave the party! I got soooo good at that I was never at a party when it was busted even when I was deep into meth. I had that intuition and the times I didn’t listen usually confirmed that I should have listened and had a smoother outcome!
@phoenixgirl705 ай бұрын
@@JessicaPradoHanson I hope you’re doing better now. Meth…the way it destroys your brain and your life. And you’re dead on with following your gut feeling/intuition. I actually gave mine tests trying my hardest to change the outcome that my body told me was coming. It’s never wrong. It’s saved my life. It’s the only unsolicited advice I give people. I took classes to help me tune into it better and money well spent. I’m happy you listened to yours. There’s a documentary on Netflix about who is truly responsible for the opiate problem. It’s called The Pharmacist. The man who was a pharmacist had his young son die from an overdose and he wanted to investigate and when you see what he found out, it’s heartbreaking and infuriating but important for all of us to know. But yeah the white collar criminals get golden parachutes instead of prison time. Gotta love late stage capitalism. Sorry for the long message but you’ve been heard. All my best to you.💝

It's not the fact that Mitch is old that worries me, it's the fact that his fellows in the GOP don't have the common sense to let him die. And even if he finally does die, I'm afraid they're going to do a sort of "Weekend at Bernie's" thing with his corpse. Y'know, prop up his rotting cadaver at every House meeting. My brother and his wife were debating traditional school or homeschool when my eldest niece was approaching kindergarten age. He said one day, “Alright, I’m gonna sit down today and really focus on the pros and cons and make a decision.” There was a school shooting THAT day. He said, “You know I’m not superstitious, but that was either a sign or it’s just THAT common.” So they’ve gone the remote learning route and the system is so new and really problematic. But at least my little niece isn’t going to be murdered at school. (Just a side note: they go out of their way to make sure she socializes with peers. And it’s an online school, not just our family teaching the kids in some scary cult way. She has classmates and goes to birthday parties and field trips and such. It’s not perfect, but it’s the right choice for them.)
