Literally all we need to do to be a contender is move KAT to power forward and let Hukporti play center until Mitch gets back… The Knicks have the second best field goal percentage in the league. I’m extremely confused why people think scoring is the problem. We need a rim protector, we need offensive rebounds, and we need more second chance points… the fact that we are playing better than we have all season without KAT because we have a true centers playing at the five just shows how dominant we could be when he comes back… until Thibs realizes that Towns is a liability at center, we will never be a contender.

Were the knicks contenders last year, well you had Randle and they weren't even though they went to the playoffs, the knicks are on the right track, but you fans complain too much, you want to blame Town for any slippage that happens on the team, yet town is the one who has led the team, still the team is resizing, the players are mixing their chemistry, but already you want to look for a culprit, and that's Town.

I'm no longer Shure... That this needs to be Branson's team. I'm not sure with the coaching before the trade's that went down over the last year if it was ever going to Branson's team or even if the clear out can make it Branson's team... With the called coaching and with the present state and directional acknowledging and the allowance of loses and when and when in a row throughout the league.

Partially right. Knicks don't know how to draft PERIOD. Every recent championship team were led by drafted players that became superstars. Knicks draft role players late, who become decent players, but never a star. But they do go get other teams stars, which always comes with a steep price. The overrated Leon Rose can't draft

Thibs has a " I must win every game mentality " So him playing rookies even in garbage time is rare. It may be Brunson's team from a leadership standpoint, but it's clear that Towns is the best talent on this team, let's hope Brunson can accept it unlike Randle. Further, this team struggles with young athletic teams and plays better against veteran teams.. just an observation.

I agree on Towns vs Brunson completely. And to back it up: running across Monica McNutt’s video clip of Towns shooting FT’s last night w/ an empty MSG except arena staff telling her he missed 2, he needed to make them all (the guy who still scored 46) speaks loudly to the TRUE work ethic & accountability inside the player(s) . Your point vs the younger teams is also quite valid, though it’s my experience most fans cannot grasp that vision if you will. For me? The Houston game when rookie Sheppard was smoking Brunson on defense every time? Was the nail in the coffin closing any debate on the situation. I realize pre season is not counted in record but when opponents were out there that I SAW Kolek play against ….and outsmart & win over in the past 2 yrs & I see him on the bench. I told myself Thibs is killing team potential. It is truly hard as you likely know to get a roster with only 1 guy turning 30 in April. Despite any injuries that youth factor gives them mileage but it is still NOT infinite. Your team is again below .500 now. Is it ego? Is it denial? Is it simply Thibs is not the sharpest tack on the board? I don’t know. But to NOT change what you are doing. Right Now? And the front ofc tolerates it? I guess is beyond my comprehension or does favoritism/former alliances go that deep to supersede winning?

It certainly looks like Towns is the best player on the team. It is necessary that Brunson set Towns up early. It will open the lane for him later in the game and allow him to move more freely. The Knicks 3 point defense (Boston, Atlanta, Indiana and Bulls) is their Achilles. There is too much gap between shooter and defender. They must close the air space. Players need to trust teammates to cover if the defender blows past - and force a contested 2 instead of giving up wide open 3s.

Terrible job by Begley. It's obvious that this team's lack of commitment to defense is the problem. They're not going to out-offense another team, so they need to out-defend them, which they have proven incapable. The lack of depth, and Thibs forcing long minutes into their starters, will result in a less commitment to defense. This team is not fun to watch, and it's because they play no defense to feed off of

Brunson was second in drawing offensive fouls last year and is on pace to be top 3-5 again this year. Forcing all those turnovers isn’t good defense?… He’s also still the Knicks first option but he only shoots the ball 18.5 times per game. Please explain how he’s a ball hog. 😂😂😂 it’s so obvious that most of you don’t even watch the games and you just repeat the talking points you hear on SportsCenter.

Also, the fact that you even think scoring is a problem, when the Knicks are second in the league in field goal percentage is hilarious… Towns is a defensive liability that allows the opposing team to shoot 92% from the restricted area… that’s why we are playing so well tonight even though he’s in street clothes. We need an actual center to play center. Towns might be 7 feet tall but he is a power forward. Until Thibs figures that out we are going to continue to be a middle of the road team.

What improvement do you need? Plays great defense and he's a great rebounder. He would have more rebounds but he let's his teammates pick up 2 or 3 a game that he secures but he doesn't care about stat stacking.mHe knows his role so don't expect double digit points, the Knicks don't need additional offense .
