My series 5, 2.4 diesel 140,000 km with absolutely no problems. It's all about regular servicing and not thrashing it. As far as I am concerned it been brilliant

The key is making sure the coolant system is healthy on the B40 no leaks or sagging radiator and to make sure you carry out a service every year.

I'm driving an Animal 2009, 105,000 impressed with it's ability off the road and it's car like ability (turning circle, cruise control, handling, speed) perfect for me.

I think people talk more about what goes wrong on paper on this engine than what it actually is. I have had 2 of these pickups (2014 4d56) whit out any issues way over 200KM. Just make sure you do your regular maintenance. I am member of a L200/triton group and they beat the hell out of them in offroad and some of them are already past 400KM. The reputation it's got must be the bad badge that was released in Australia. Down here in m country's we got the revised version that got the head gasket and block surface fixed and no issues whatsoever.

I have a L200 - 2007 model. This morning when I started her up the servo did not work. No indication earlier. What could it be?

So we use fleet of l200 for long trips for on site maintenance. Most cars makes 10,000 kilometer per month. We have 7 cars. 3 of them are above 200k km. These 4d56 engines requires a lot of maintenance to keep them running. Timing belt every 100k. Which means less than a year. Coming from factory with alignment issues. Bad brake pads quality dont last Engine seals leakage after 200k kilos. Valve adjustments. Not every vehicle but depends on driving conditions. Turbo failure at one car. That's all so far. Unfortunately dealership where I live is not good and labor very expensive as expensive as paying BMW here in the area. So decided to switch to toyota hilux for some cars now. Sold 3 out 8 L200.

Hello . Thank you for this video. I am an owner of a 2012 Mitsubishi L200 with an automatic transmission gear box. And here is the problem . As I am driving at a normal speed of 80 km/hour -55 miles/h , often stepping away from the gas pedal and let the car go due to traffic, then the car breaks suddenly 2 times and moves from the 4th gear to the second gear. After that it is stucked on the second and I cannot accelerate, the D indecator flashes, and the only way out is to pull over and switch off the engine and started again. Do you have an idea what is causing it ? Can anyone help ? Thank you

Almost certainly the electronics unit controlling the automatic gear system or the sensors giving the control unit the signals about the position of the pedal, RPMs, speed and other factors. Replacing will fix the problem, although it can be quite annoying to isolate exactly which sensor or if the unit is the problem, especially if the issue doesn't reproduce reliably. If you are not into cars and don't have your garage, I would strongly recommend to ask somebody who is equipped for the repairs. Btw. how does it behave when using the semi-automatic mode when doing manually gear-up and gear-down?

My 2006 l200 ASC and ATC light comes on then the vehicle stop revenge above 2000 RPM what could be the problems. If I switch it off for a few minutes then start it up again ot it goes again even tho the check light is on
