Your doing such a good job at taking care of her hair. Asking for professional help, is a good natural hair practice. Going to a natural hair salon that specializes in afro textured is best for hair cuts and protective styling. Here’s a few tips for later on... Combing & brushing should be done every other day, too much pulling at the scalp isn’t good. Natural hair is very delicate because of the twist & turns in the strand making it break of easily, so detangling every day isn’t good. Try washing her hair every 2-3 days not everyday because you don’t want to strip the hair’s natural oils. At night you can lightly spritz her hair with water sealing it in with a kid leave-in conditioner and cream styler(satin bonnet). In the morning to kick the curls back in place use a refresher spray and an oil. Using Organic natural hair kid/baby products is fine for now making sure to read the ingredients labels. Make sure the product says NO silicones, parabens, MEA/EDTA/DEA, phthalates, synthetic fragrances & colors and artificial oils.

Keep doing the LOC method frequently to keep the hair moisturize👍🏾. ALWAYS use a silicone FREE cleansing conditioner, always rinse out cleansers with very warm water to open the hair cuticle to receive moisture. Sulfates free shampoos have gentle cleaning agents that cleanse your hair withOUT the harsh drying effect. Their fine to use in your hair as long as the products your using don’t have ingredients that build up on the hair (like silicones and artificial oils). A good sulfate is Coco-sulfate that can be used as a clarifying shampoo to strip out bad chemicals that could get into her scalp and hair cuticle. Coco sulfate is great for a product build up w/ congested scalp, mud, salt and chlorine water. After shampooing always follow up with the pairing conditioner letting it sit in the hair for 5 minutes before, detangling the hair using a wide tooth comb. Leave in the conditioner in your hair for at least 15 minutes before rinsing out your rinse out conditioner with lukewarm water. Always rinse out deep conditioners, hair treatments & hair masque with cool water(unless the product says otherwise). Her hair looks very healthy right now, but when it gets longer try deep conditioning once a week. If you have one, a hair steamer can help the deep conditioner penetrate into the hair cuticle better. This will leave the hair feeling hydrated; a hand healed steamer is best for young kids. After you detangle her hair using your cowash, or after you shampoo & condition, towel blot her hair and add the deep conditioner using your tangle teezer to detangling. You can leave it over night rinsing it out in the morning or leave it in for 15 minute using a hair steamer then rinse with cool water. Investing in a water filter is not only good for your hair, but skin & nails too. It really does make a big difference in the hair’s health and moisture levels. 100% pure Organic unrefined cold pressed coconut oil is the best kind and is great to use in the spring & summer months when its hot. Not in the fall/winter because coconut oil solidifies in the cold making the hair look caked; use coconut oil sparingly a little goes a long way. Try trimming her hair when you start seeing split ends then every six months giving her a dusting if you see more split ends. Massage brushes like the one from Vanity Planet are better for stimulating growth in the hair NOT boat bristle brushes. Only use SOFT boar bristle brushes occasional NOT daily it frazzle the hair cuticle. A bath visor can help keep the shampoo out her eyes, www.amazon.com/Kair-Cushioned-Bath-Visor-Blue/dp/B00A7W0VLY?th=1&tag=rewardstyle-20&ascsubtag=dQcTW6Y0u2-n-b46yrhbansf--1813947901. These tips should help with the growth and maintenance of her natural hair, hope this helps❤️. For more info visit www.naturallycurly.com to figure out her hair type.

Great job! Just a suggestion to use the leave in conditioner first and then use light oil. This will help lock in the moisture she needs.

Great job!! I agree on the baby shampoo being harsh and drying. With hard water, about once a month or every 2 months, a chelation (swimmer's shampoo) is good for the hair. If not, hard water will continue to build up and will soon start to block moisture and her products.

Thanks to you for a very informative video: I myself have wavy/curly hair, but I'm an Asian. And since people around me have straight hair ,I can't really ask anyone about hair routine. Your video is very helpful, love the explanations. By the way, you two are very cute! :)

It's best to avoid adult products....you baby is still growing between 0 and 5 and her skin is five time more delicate...it can absorb much mor than an adult..don't do it! use HIPP baby lotion on her hair...its for skin but is moisturises....use thier baby shampoo too....and nd oil...its the best to be safe you don't know tge long term damage these chemicals can have on a growing child
