Because there are no meaningful consequences. The Hawaiian judge, after telling the man he cant film, allowed him to keep filming, confirming the Sovcits contention that the judge has no authority. I am slowly coming to the conclusion that Sovcits exist only because judges treat Sovcits in a manner that allows them to show utter contempt for the law and confirm they are correct in their interpretation of the Constitution. Its no different if your child misbehaves and you do nothing to correct them. They will grow up convinced they are right in everything and laws do not apply to them.

I've always been a little confused about this whole sovereign citizen process. Once a defendant states, in court, that the laws of the court do not apply to them, can't that immediately be treated as contempt of court? After all, it is conduct intending to obstruct or interfere with the orderly administration of justice, is it not?

I'd imagine judges have an inclination to try to explain the relevant parts of the law to someone that's in traffic court representing themselves against the state, since it's obviously not fiscally sound to try to get a lawyer to represent you for your $150 ticket so the judge probably deals with a lot of people that don't understand the law but are trying to be responsive. He's probably had to explain to people who don't understand what a civil infraction is but are asking questions in good faith. It would also be pretty harsh to throw someone in jail over being non-responsive to a plea when the judge can take the easier road and enter a not guilty plea for them.
@TheUluxian2 жыл бұрын
And the SECOND these people say they don't understand "anything", they should immediately be declared "non compos mentis" (lacking mental ability to understand the nature, consequences, and effect of a situation or transaction), remanded to an appropriate psychiatric facility, and have a court appointed guardian assigned who will take care of all their affairs until they ARE found Compos mentis.. Also if people want to know Duggs actual charges. - Detroit rapper 42 Dugg (age 27) was arrested Wednesday in Michigan after failing to turn himself in to serve an outstanding six-month prison sentence. In March 2020, a federal grand jury in Georgia charged the rising rapper, real name Dion Hayes, with possessing a firearm, a felony given Hayes was previously convicted of carjacking and firearms possessions in his native Michigan in 2011. Hayes pleaded guilty to those charges in Nov. 2020, and was sentenced to three years probation. However, his probation was revoked in Feb. 2022 after Hayes was arrested for obstruction of law enforcement and battery in Las Vegas; he also had “multiple positive test results for use of controlled substances,” another violation of his probation, the arrest warrant obtained by Rolling Stone states. Hayes was subsequently sentenced to six months in a West Virginia prison. Hayes was ordered to report in April 2022 to begin his sentence; when he didn’t appear, an arrest warrant was issued, leading to his arrest Wednesday by federal agents. According to the Detroit News, 42 Dugg attended Tuesday night’s NBA playoff game between the Golden State Warriors and the home Memphis Grizzles. When Hayes’ private jet landed back in Detroit early Wednesday morning, he was apprehended. In short - if he had turned himself in.. he only had to serve a short 6 month sentence. He is now currently still in jail & is facing 5 years 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️

@@LawTalkWithMike no problem! he’s also considered a pretty popular/famous rapper as he’s signed to several major record labels such as interscope & empire. the whole sov cit thing isn’t the real cause of why he isn’t cooperating with the court/legal proceedings tho, he’s a gang banger & most likely apart of the RICO dealings in ATL - he’s also a part of 4PF (lil baby’s label & gang). The main reasons he was labeled as a ‘flight risk’ is because he quite literally fled from state to state once alerted there were warrants out for his arrest & he has access to the 4PF private jet which you don’t need to go through any kind of security checkpoints for & they use the jets to transport drugs & weapons ect.
