Repeat offenders, like this guy admitted, should get their vehicles towed and impounded, racking up costs. And no vehicle returned to them without their valid ID, not someone else's, registration and proof of insurance. Simple way to end this nonsense forever. Letting them drive even if that is their only way to work, is wrong. It is something the criminal should have thought of before they committed the crime. Laws are there as curbs to prevent crimes in the first place.

Basically, these nitwits develop new tactics when somebody tries something they think is clever and brags about it on their KZbin channel. Since they all watch each other's, and since nobody admits that their tactics aren't actually *working,* everybody else starts using the new tactic shortly thereafter, and it enters the sovcit canon. That's how refusing to step into the defendant's area of the courtroom because that would "bring me under your jurisdiction" came into being, and it's how we're beginning to get the frivolous lawsuit against the judges now. The basic idea is that if you file a federal lawsuit against every single judge in the local system who works at the level of criminal case you face, then while that suit is in progress they all have to recuse themselves from your criminal case. Under normal circumstances, a judge couldn't judge a party against whom he was currently involved in a civil lawsuit; it would be a conflict of interest. The reason it doesn't work is that the federal courts can get rid of these idiot suits -- which they've seen plenty of before, even if not for this purpose -- fast enough that it doesn't actually impede the criminal case for very long. At worst, all that has to happen is for them to postpone a hearing briefly or something. And as soon as the civil case is pitched out on its ear, the normal process with the normal judges can proceed.

They got more serious shit to deal with. How much time is going to be wasted on what essentially boils down to "Were you in the driver's seat of a car going down the road? Did you have a license? Did you have insurance?". You lose almost a full day on nonsense. Better to just get them on their way and focus on the crimes where real harm was done. Not to mention the brain cells lost from being subjected to hearing their argument...

@@DietArdeeThe only problem with not making it hurt enough to learn their lesson, it just empowers them into thinking they are smart enough to fight these charges and get out of them with little cost. @@ronfullerton3162 All good points. Unfortunately, these people have one main goal: to weaken and break down our democratic institutions, bit by bit. Incentives and disincentives that worked on us don’t work as well on these people. They’ve been brainwashed into thinking that they are benefitting from this self-injurious set of beliefs. What most of them don’t realize is that the alternative is authoritarianism because a corrupt, populist leader always fills the void, according to history. I wish they’d read the articles and books that show what happened to every other society whose 1/3 population became convinced of lies about non-partisan institutions that run the business of democracy. Minority rule of the majority never turns out well. I sure hope the experts are at the wheel. These plea offers give me hope that experts are studying to figure out democracy’s best defences. This looks like one of them, in action.

My lil girl neighbor was hit in front of her mom and lil sisters as they were crossing the street by a guy who ran a red light, no license, insurance, in a borrowed car...he was out on bail for running a red, no license, no insurance, killing a pedestrian in a crosswalk. These folks are dangerous on so many levels. Thankfully, though grievously injured, she recovered physically, it traumatized (mentally, emotionally, fiscally) the whole family. He was given the opportunity to do such to a 2nd family...the court system's leniency with anti-social personalities is shameful.

Every time I see that hat I think of my grandpa who was a Shriner(and all the other secret men joined in after WW2 like the Masons etc). When he died they came by within a week to grab all Shriner gear. Even the hat which I wanted. Though he was a clown for the Shriners for cancer kids and I got to keep all his old clown gear. Some of it SUPER old. Neat stuff. I'd still rather have the hat. That being said, with these SovCit and Moor(black dudes who think they were the original natives of the US ROFL)goofballs...why isn't the Constitution/Bill of Rights not good enough for them?
