I watched the game and noticed how respectful the creighton team was especially when the other team would fall creighton would try and help them up, and you can tell they felt bad…. they respect uconn so much and creighton really stepped up from last time but uconn dominated eventually as they should

Great to see this team keep competing and never losing sight of this seasons goal which became competing for a conference championship once the injuries started happening.

27:06 Geno is about to give them hell when they get back to the locker room during halftime 😭 they are all making a lot of mistakes before the 3rd quarter even hits. 36:30 he really don’t care about the coach box when it comes to his players 😭😭

Copyright issues have stopped MJL243 from having all of them, but the Women's Basketball Alliance has done some encapsulated 30 minute games.

Thanks. The 17-0 run from when UConn went from down 31-36 to up 48- 36 begins at 44-40 on the clip.
@markhathaway945610 ай бұрын
It started with a couple of short jumpers by Paige and the defense stiffened. I don't think Creighton realized the tide had turned against them.

It also begins with three calls in Uconns favour and 7 fouls to 2 in the Huskies favour. Watch the charge call for Muhl, her right foot and body are still moving into position.

There were plenty of open shots UConn just missed. I'm still amazed at how Creighton took such bad shots and still scored.

That was a war. Creighton played stellar defense, though at times it appeared they were trying to gang-tackle a UConn player, mostly Aaliyah. UConn shooting was pathetic in the first half. In the early 3rd qtr, Paige hit a mid-range jumper, and from there the rest of the team kicked into gear and Creighton went stone-cold. It's strange how those things happen. Later, UConn went cold again. The shooting has to be better and Ice has to stop fouling. She's been doing better and better, but this game wasn't good at all. Creighton's tight defense, which refs didn't call for fouls very often, kept the guards from shooting 3s very well and they triple-teamed Aaliyah. Now tell me, how can they be everywhere and do everything that way? UConn's defense was very good and that kept the balance for most of the game. I'm amazed Creighton can shoot well. Their shooters are very unorthodox and seem entirely lucky. But, that happens.

Brady needs a lot of work with offense. Her first time in first half she had several wide-open lanes to the basket and just passes the ball. Except for all American Edwards their recruiting in the post is a disaster. She is a great defender but so far has little post moves.

UCONN, You are playing into the hands and at the level of your competition. The UCONN of only a short time ago may have dribbled twice before scoring, average 5 passes and score, more movement without the ball. "Rule; if you are open you must shoot" (Look back at Nurse's team play)
@markhathaway843110 ай бұрын
I thought they moved well, got open shots, but just weren't shooting well, as individuals and as a team.

Hopefully, UConn plays Iowa in that Women's Classic next year, if UConn stays healthy next year, they're going to smoke Iowa with or without Clark. FYI, Iowa has never beaten UConn with or without Paige during Clark's tenure at Iowa. UConn is going to be on their revenge tour next year, watch!
