I played first base in high school. Runner on first. There's a candy wrapper that's blown onto the field and the sun is catching it in such a way that it's reflecting on me. I told my pitcher to step off so I could get it. He didn't listen, or didn't hear me, or whatever, but as soon as I stepped away, he tried to pick the runner off and spiked the ball into the ground, rolled away, runner at advances to second. And I THINK there may have been a guy on third who scored. Either way, it was pretty bad. I was like dude, I told you to step off. He said "why didn't you call time?!" We were both probably at least a little right ahah
