Watching this as a starry-eyed kid, I wondered what it would be like if it really happened. I thought maybe it would be just like this commercial. I thought maybe it would involve spraying champagne. And never once did I think a team lead by Darwin Barney and Alfonso Soriano could ever turn it around in just a few years time. But they did. I miss my childhood Cubs, but what the 2016 team did for this community will forever be untouched. Even just walking around Progressive Field without a ticket that night showed me that even the impossible can be possible. Thank you guys so much. Go Cubbies

The Cubs could have won the World Series at Wrigley Field in 1907 & 1908 had they held back for a game 6, but no, they won it in 5, it's their own fault. In 2016, they didn't have a chance to win at home, despite the Cubs having the better season record, that didn't matter as that rule went into effect in 2017. AL won the 2016 All-Star game so the Indians had home field advantage. Winner of All Star game had the advantage from 2003 to 2016.
