Great season, you rock! Would you consider The One Ring, 2nd Edition, in Strider Mode for the next season? Strider is the "solo" mode made by Shawn Tomkin (the creator of Ironsworn) that you know very well, but it's not an Ironsworn hack. It's Tolkien time!

That one might be an issue as Tolkein and LOTR are trademarked properties, so playing it as is might be a bit sticky for KZbin. Also, Tolkein's fiction doesn't fit as neatly into Trevor's fictive universe as opposed to the random nature of Mythic. I do enjoy the Strider rules a lot, but it might be too much lifting and tweaking to fit it into MM&D. And even if it could be made to fit, I worry it would be too different from its original source to have any meaningful connection to LOTR.

@@DragonBoi3789, I'm sorry but I disagree: the second season of MM&D was based on Ironsworn and Travor perfectly managed that rule system, even introducing some Delve extensions, so I don't see any clash with Strider. About Tolkien's setting, I don't see this is a problem with all the other recordings already available on KZbin (no automatic blocks or alike), neither I think that Free League might complain Travor for using TOR2 in his show.

Carlos Is true to his wicked nature! What I love the most is that you threw a complete random and scene-subverting event without the need for a nudge by the GME oracle. And that is because the emulator is just randomly emulating a GM role but you (as shown over and over) ... You know what a good GM should be doing, which is providing fun and challenging problems to the players! This is really a masterclass in Game Mastering and storytelling!

The chaos factor is one thing I always ignore when I use Mythic GM emulator. It just makes no sense to me, so I always leave the chaos factor at a static 5. The causality of whether the protagonist did well or badly in the previous scene affecting whether, for example, there happens to be a random boat at a shore or something just makes no sense to me. Plus, when the chaos factor differs from 5, it starts to matter whether you phrase the question in the positive or negative. E.g. "is there someone in the room" versus "is the room empty" - both are valid phrasings of the same concept, but with a different chaos factor, those will result in very different outcome probabilities. And all those "very unlikely, so 50/50" probabilities just rub me the wrong way.

Yes, I was also wondering about that. Maybe Trevor will explain in a future episode? In a way, if you see it from the point of view of the main character, the more things are out of his control, the more things are out of the player's control. But I don't know.

@@YannMiollan I think the intention of the rule is clear enough, to model the kind of dramatic arc one sees in movies and fiction, where things tend to get ever crazier and more chaotic as things approach the climax. I just don't like them in a randomly generated story, nor do I like the part of the implementation where the same question, phrased differently, will produce wildly different probabilities.
