Max Holloway's battle plan seems to be to go in and just punch as many times as he can until the ref stops him or the bell rings. They say no one has a plan once they're punched in the face, so he just ignores that, and goes in without one to begin with.

Not a lot of American fans know this but Yoshihiro Takayama is now paralyzed from the shoulders down. He was primarily a professional wrestler and during a match a few years ago he landed on his head while attempting a sunset flip. A tragic end to an underrated career.

Matt Brown is one of my favorites.. 2 of my favorite fights were Lawler vs Brown (Also a huge Robbie fan) and Brown vs Erick Silva.. Silva has a ton of heart and he also had Matt hurt but Silva was never the same after that fight. Matt brutalized him, that fight made me a Silva fan though.

I think the reason might be that he is not a "chaotic" striker, since his boxing is pressure-based but still contained (he doesn't throw excessively large combinations too often)... but the style of always moving towards the opponent and having zero fear of getting hurt should have gotten him on the list!

Too much recency bias here. You’ve got to include guys like BJ, Hellboy, Gomi, Lombard, Vovchanchyn, etc... It would be fair if you made the list on guys currently fighting, but that wasn’t specified. Still enjoyable though. Anyway, possibility of a different list: Top 10 fighters who shed their label as specialists. -Werdum only having BJJ, then becoming a damn good striker. -BJ Penn and the Diaz brothers, same as Werdum. -GSP started out as a karate guy, moved on to one of the most well rounded fighters ever, with world class wrestling. -Mousasi as strictly a Dutch kickboxer who developed a great submission game. -DC as a world class wrestler to good boxer and world class eye poker -CM Punk from pro-wrestling superstar to horrible MMA fighter There are so many more, and much better examples, but that’s just to give an idea of the type of list.
