That double step low kick is incredibly effective. You can easily get opponents to the ground if you hit them somewhere near the calf and you can follow up with a spinning back kick if they manage to stay on their feet. I’ve drilled the shit out of this combo. Good stuff as always man !

Nice analysis. On the duck under to lift throw, you might try tani otoshi instead of that lifting ura nage. I've found tani otoshi to work better for me than the lift. Perhaps you'll have the same result. Also, there was a point where you had an underhook and were in front of the opponent. Rafael Aghayev (can't be sure of the spelling) in this situation performs tai otoshi by stepping across, blocking the far leg, and wheeling the opponent over with the underhook. It looks really beautiful when he does it. You might have a look at some videos of his fights and see if it helps as well.

I have some advice that will boost your kicking power to muscle cutting speeds. Add these exercises to your schedule. Double time spent on the banana bag for both left and right kicks..your foot work is great don't change it. Go to the gym and work your hip flexors glutes and your whole thigh muscles until you've added a few inches to your glutes and thighs..that added weight will do wonders..then add a skip step to your kick and force your newly trained hil flexors to push that kick into bone..you will feel the power it won't take long before you're addicted to the method

Jeff, how do you do the off rhythm low kicks? How do you get off rhythm?
@MMAShredded6 жыл бұрын
Just throw it suddenly/non-telegraphed. It is kind of opposite of what you are taught (you are taught to always set up your low kicks with punches), but after you use your hands to set up low kicks a lot, you can throw it without using your hands. Does that make sense?
@yuchen80596 жыл бұрын
Yes. Thanks! Also, I saw that when you threw these off rhythm kicks, they look different than your normal kicks. These look like they are more of a lifting motion than chopping motion. Is that correct?

mrnijacatzz for people who rush in watch some boxing footwork on how to move out of their way to get outside angle to punch near their ear on the side of their lead leg, kind of like a matador with a bull. But sometimes it's best to just get out of the way and get the best angle to scare them fake that angle and get what you really wanted all along. Faking can be one of the most underrated skills for aggressive types and also if you have the best ground game let them come and just go for takedown.
@zaccedeno71386 жыл бұрын
mrnijacatzz that's usually what I do and I spar very often with a very aggressive 230 pound 6foot 1 guy and I'm 150lb 5 foot 9 and I always win without a scratch hardly. Never lost a spar and only ever had a few grazes from being careless sometimes. Happens to the best of us.
