What I like best about this video is that you did not insult viewers by playing sappy stupid music while you built it. So many videos now days that proclaim to be how-to videos are really just ego trips for people who play sappy music while we watch. Nothing how-to about it. But yours was great. Thanks for sharing the detail, it is so very helpful. Your table came out great.

I totally agree. It is exactly what I was looking for. He showed how he built it, and provided tips along the way to be more efficient at building the table.

Two valuable things I learned from this video. 2) figure 8 fasteners and most valuable # 1) stain the bottom shelf first and if I like it, then proceed with the rest. Excellent advise.

Nice entry table mr Matt can you please tell me where can i get the 1x16x6 board that you used on this table ? Thanks.

It's a project panel that's pre-glued. Here's a link to what I used www.lowes.com/pd/Metrie-16-in-x-6-ft-Smooth-Natural-Spruce-Wood-Wall-Panel/1001306090?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-mlw-_-google-_-lia-_-122-_-edgegluedpanels-_-1001306090-_-0&placeholder=null&ds_rl=1286981&gclid=Cj0KCQjwm9yJBhDTARIsABKIcGYnK2-5BbYNEJZCyJHLHlO_NnShVEjYNVizgp8O53g4zhCnghHhqocaAvZYEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Thanks Kyle! The K4 is seriously GREAT and so efficient! Not sure if HD has the dowel jib but there's a link in the description for the one in the video... any doweling jig will do though!

Awesome job , have a question can you tell me what kind of screws do you used to me the first two frames i know they are 2'' pocket screws but what kind cus I am having a hard time trying to screw them and i bought kreg pocket screws thanks.
@mmcc_woodshop62883 жыл бұрын
Hey Diego! The brand I use is Grip Rite exterior screws, but pocket hole screws should actually be better. I just use the Grip Rite ones because they're cheaper in bulk.

Super built just not clear with washers that you are using , alittle to fast video for me at this point
@mmcc_woodshop6288 Жыл бұрын
Thanks! So the washers will allow for wood movement as the top expands and contracts over time. By putting a screw in each end of the washer, the top will be held downward by the force of the screws - but as that top does expand and contract, the washers can pivot in the direction of the expansion/contraction, which allows the top to do so without stressing the internal wood causing the top to crack. I’ll try to do a video in more detail about this and some other table top attachment methods when I get some time.
