The auto-translation for the Russian subtitles is AMAZING. For instance: FUCT is almost consistently rendered as PDC or PZDA, presumably because the Russian translator wrote it like the acronym and the translation bot didn't pick up on this. Occasionally, it will be rendered as something else, like PDA, which just reminds me of middle school. "Failed Under Continuous Testing" translates through to "Indicators of Values Reached Emergency". -Complete with that period. "Blue Pepsi Can" is simply "Blue Jar" PepsiMan is referred to with a variety of names, including, but not limited to, Pepsiman, Pepsyman, and Pepsimen. "This is not FACT!!" is rendered as: "This is not a TRAIN!" "Pepsyman, it's me, your sane metal Pepsi brother: Pepsi Prime! In the name of Pepsi Twist, it's time for you to get out of hibernation!" *Note, I am not directly blaming anyone for the translation weirdness. Many factors, such as certain words just not existing in other languages, idioms being different, but transliterated by the machine, and even the translator mishearing things can all play into this type of thing. I'm just a lingual enthusiast and I enjoy weird stuff like this.

It was me who translated this video in Russian. There are my explanations. The main challenge for translation was the word FUCT since during the course of video Phelous used ths word to show how great some aspects of figure are, how bad some aspects are, also the word was used as an acronym and as a tagline about "not a fact". Traditionally F-word is translated into Russian using a basis word -KHUY- since it can mean both something great (oKHUYenny) and something bad (KHUYevy). But this word is terrible for making acronyms in Russian. Thus I have chosen word basis -PZD- which by itself in Russian means C-word but can also form words that mean something good (PiZDaty), something bad (PiZDets), much better for acronym with general meaning of failure and also a stem for a non-swearing word PoeZD (Train). I admit that there are could be better options for translation but I've tried to fit into it as many nuances as possible.

I'm going off on a limb here, but I think the reason for the word "fuct" is probably due to someone looking up the Scandinavian dictionary and found the word "fukt". "Fukt" (or "fuktig") is translated as "moist" (or "moisture"). When you pour cold liquid like Pepsi in a glass during warm climate, moisture builds up all over the glass.

I like how on the box they show a pretty much full-view shot of Pepsiman and you can see how the rest of his body wasn't turning into colored-cola. Maybe while getting super cola smelling powers his metal became transparent and he's just made OF Pepsi on the inside. Certainly explains where he gets all of it.

The Pepsiman commercials ran in the US too. I remember them. They were REALLY messed up. I don't recall the commercials being on TV very long. I also remember them giving away figures and such along with the campaign as well as them having Pepsiman collectable bottle caps at one point. I assume if failed because the campaign only lasted a very short time in the US. It may have lasted longer in Japan. I DO remember the commercials in the US with this character running in and making "FIZZ" sounds with his mouth when people would open Pepsi bottles or cans. Every commercial ended with him getting injured.

It might have been on one of those "Check out these bizarre ads!" shows from Japan, or could have been the real ad, but I distinctly remember that snowboarding goon.
