They get paid very well and they do not deal with this everyday. Most days are boring as heck. I have seen these small town spend all day sitting in there car in the local park all day many time before. Meanwhile when a cop get hurt they get full pay sometime for years while they recover from a injury. They do not even do that in the miltary and you are lucky if a civilian job gives you 2 weeks after a injury and you get paid nothing. These guy get hurt and disabled so they cannot work they get a nice pension and SSDI. Most job you only get your SS disability. Meanwhile jobs like being a truck driver, constuction works, fisherman etc have a higher death rate then a cop. In fact the number one cause of on duty cop is sucide.

If I lived in this community, I would be looking for a new place to live. You have a lame DA and a judge who are releasing a chick back into the community and dismissing the felony charges of fleeing and alluding. Sounds to me like they’re more interested in protecting the criminals in your community instead of the law, abiding and taxpaying citizens. Maybe you should think about getting petitions to have this DA and judge removed from Office and after you get a lot of signatures send it to your mayor and the governor and your senator and see what they can do to relieve you of these idiots. what’s the use of having good policeman who put their lives on the line when you have a DA and a judge who are just gonna release people back out into your community.

Asylums were places anyone deemed “undesirable” was housed in horrific squalor. I’m not sure why you would want those back. We have modern mental institutions in every state. The big change has been long term confinements are only used for the worst cases as the confinement usually makes their symptoms worse. Perhaps we do need more confinements, but let’s try to be accurate too 👍.
