This is the story of young Albert Anastasia before he ran Murder Inc. and became the lord High executioner . Along with his mentor Giussepe Florino they terrorized the streets and Brooklyn in the 20's to gang controll of the water fronts.

You're an AWESOME historian! Please keep up the great work. I feel guilty I didn't vote. I'd love if you told the stories of the connections between the mob, CIA, & FBI, once you get to that part of the story.

Sam Giancana Marcello Trafacante Lansky Giancias brother wrote that Sam personally told him Dallas was goddamn open that day. A five year old could've ran up on the president. Speaking of president s they asked one Richard Milhuas Nixon. Where were you on that fateful day, Dick seemed he couldn't recall, well he was ib goddamn Dallas meeting with the President....... of the PepsiCo in 😅😅 supposedly it was none other than Handsome Johnny Roselli who was the grassy knoll shooter

@@altagraciaadames3483 from what I've read & seen, there were up to 8 shooters that day. One of whom was Woody Harlson's dad! The fatal shot came either from the knoll or, the sewer drain below it.

Fantastic job, the information is already out there, but your talent is digging it out and displaying it in a colorful and engaging way, basically you s paint 🎨 pictures, hopefully you don't paint houses ha ha. On that same vein maybe you can do an episode on one of the most infamous mafisi early career, a priest who actually worked for Umberto, that would be Father O'Neil aka Neil Delacroce 😉

Big Daddy Bad, great hearing your dulcet tones again.1957 was a great year for cars, it signaled the introduction of the Space Age, Apalachin Mafia meet-up was raided, which was bad for Vito Genovese who had called for the meeting to announce he was The Boss. Two months after Albert was whacked, on Christmas Day 1957 I was born. New Zealand follower here.

Strange character, Don Umberto, Albert A. He had lots of associates & a brother of his own working the docks, yet he takes up with Florino & together they invent “kill-crazy.” I have a soft-spot for Mr. A. just the same, however. Maybe it’s just the couple of accounts I came across from other associates whom he actually looked out for & tried to help. A friend of his friends he gave some pretty sage advice. Did the Waterfront Don wear “mad hats” at some time? Own a haberdashery? I know jailhouse guards in those days were fond of making mug shots that would aid prosecutors in court, help reporters to tell ‘unflattering’ stories. Did young Albert A have an old Sicilian olive grove hideout, a farm, a Mediterranean shipping link? Or did his jailers just wake him up & shove him into a camera flash to help keep general suspicion focused on two specific groups of immigrants back in those days? Either way, nice narrative, as always. If gangsters & bangers could get away with all that mayhem, how much more freedom ordinary civilians must’ve had!! Less safety, in those hoods, but a lot more autonomy, just the same. I hope The Boss enjoys enough freedom to keep archiving & shoring-up these old classic gangsta (OCG) stories. Earle Wojiekowski Weiss & Vincent D’Ambrosio “Drucci” (aka Hymie & Schemer) are Chicagoan memorable rivals of Capone, if they’re not already downloaded. One of them has/had a museum, if I recall. Maybe it was just an online museum. Either or, my compliments to The Boss, if the story’s already archived. I’m sure I’ll find it. ♥️🌲🕯🌲🕯🌲🕯🌲🕯🌲🕯🌲🕯♥️

Boss, do you happen to have any writings on Abe Longy Zwillman? After watching few other docs, I have come to suspect that his death was not a suicide, and that things started to go downhill for him he stood up to don Genovese against killing Don Anastasia. It is believed that this sealed his fate with Vito and Meyer who may have plotted with his former drive Jerry Catena to get him off. Catena by the time of his death was in Genovese’s crew and one of Vito’s favorites. Personally, if Abner was murdered, authorities should not have looked pass Catena volunteering to get it done for Vito. This may be why both him and Vito got very close afterward, and Vito chose him to be his acting boss while it was away on Narcotics trumped up charges. What do you think about my reasoning here, boss?

You can say whatever you want on the mad hatter, but he was a loyal guy to the guy that showed him the ropes, Lucky Luciano. Now, I am wondering if Luciano did not okay his termination by Carlo. Charlie Luciano was born in 1897 and he’s helping people off death row in 1921? At this time he was a gunman working for Joe Masseria. and Arnold Rothstein. This seems to be a problematic section of an otherwise great presentation.
@afewbadmen.
@afewbadmen. 10 ай бұрын
In 21 he had left Maseria . He was with Arnold Rothstein. Buying booze from . Waxey Gordon. He was big time . He already had one of the biggest operations in NY. He got back with Maseria after Arnold died and when the Castellamarese war started.
