Nice setup man. Been doing great since I quit my job. I had an offer to detail fulltime at a dealership for 15 hr so 480$ a week after taxes for 40 hrs. I declined. I made that in about 10 hours. 500$ for two jobs. One day I made 500$ cash. Owning your own business is where it’s at. Tired of working for pennies

@@epicautomotivedetailing I’ve had the tough times too mate. It was a monster lifted “mudder” truck (where I’m from in california they build monster trucks and drive them through the mud) and dude wanted and exterior and interior detail done within 5 hours I hired a guy and we worked 5 hours straight. In person dude was happy and paid then I get a text a day or two after saying he’s not happy w the job said it was “filthy” even tho we hit up everything. Extracted seats, floor mats , carpets dressed panels and cleaned them w brushes , apc and steamer first and also hit up every little detail, interior and exterior and polished the truck. he had never cleaned this mudder truck for 23 years of caked on mud and I don’t he expected a show truck at the end and it just couldn’t be done in his demanded time frame as well. win some lose some I offered to come back for any spots I missed and he never texted me back lmfao

Hi! Been watching a lot of your videos for the past couple days as I am very interested in making a valeting business here in Denmark! Recently bought a Tesla and realized I quite like going in depth on the whole cleaning/preppin process. Have you made any videos that goes into detail about having a water tank in your van and how that functions? I can't seem to find anything that shows it properly xD Awesome videos! Keep it up :D

Hi Dave, cheers for the solid advice! Listen I heard you say that you use alot of TFR...now the first time I mentioned that I use TFR, I got a massive OMG moment for some detailers. I use Autoglym TFR but I dilute it down quite alot. Is it truly harmful to plastics etc? Cheers again for a down to earth video which cuts out all the BS!

Tfr can be harmful but we're talking over decades. Detailing forums are becoming poison by no it all detailers. I don't use snow foam at moment because I don't need to. Most clients keep a car a for few years and that's it. Got a video out today around half 6 which should be an eye opener. Looks like that could be a 200ltr tank you have. My first thought was an old bt van with the racking, but clearly works for you and your able to carry everything you need which is the most important thing. Im sure a fresh coat spray paint will tidy it up no problem Looks like space extra space you could use to remove stuff from the front of the van buteverybody is different of how they use and set a van up. I also use the connect van. I Carry a 500ltr buffle tank, gazebo, 5ltr bottles alkng with spares just incase anything brakes while out on the job. I bet we all will pretty much carry the same in a way.

Is their a difference between car detailing and car valeting?
@epicautomotivedetailing4 жыл бұрын
In the UK a valet is something in-between a basic car wash and a full detail. Detailing here in UK is paint correction, machine polishing etc. So the way I look at it is that i offer luxury car wash using top products but try not to get involved in machine polishing unless I have to. If that makes sense?
