Thank you for a great video! Question: It is possible to choose 3 different gimbals in the app. What if I want to use Feiutech G6 Max. Will I then miss some functionality in the app or in the gimbal?
@SiHorrocks3 жыл бұрын
Filmic Pro only has extra functions with DJI Osmo Mobile series and Zhiyun Smooth 4 (but it's not the same as using the gimbal's app). Aside from that, you may be able to control record on and off / shutter with the shutter button. You can still use any gimbal with other camera apps, but you won't get most of the Gimbal's app functionality

***** 5 Stars! An excellent tutorial on all the attributes of Filmic Pro. Good unhurried narration at an even pace, without an annoying music track in the background. One small point about the stabilization (36:10) - when shooting outdoors in windy conditions with my iPhone 7 Plus mounted on a tripod, the video images appear mildly shaky as the stabilizer software tries to correct for any tiny movements or vibrations. Switching OFF the stabilzation in this situation I have found produces smoother video.

Does anyone know if there is an App, that can control Global Tone-Mapping, so we don't get pixels to expose and adjust, even when the Exposure is locked on IOS-Apple iPhones? One of my biggest pet peeves with my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Love the Dynamic Range these cameras have but the shift in exposure even while locked with Filmic Pro, still will have color and exposure shifting with-in a bright room as one pans from bright to dark. Something we need control over!

Thanks so much for this complete tutorial. I have a quick question please. I updated my Filmic Pro app yesterday (new version 6.16.0). When I select the selfie lens or ultra wide lens, I have no option to manually focus. The focus reticle is locked (red). Focus option is grayed out in the focus ring as well. Is this by design or am I doing something wrong?
@danielgrenier24173 жыл бұрын
Can I just add to the Frame Rate/Auto shutter usage (as found at 23:03 and 24:38 )? So if you have the shutter option set to either 50Hz or 60Hz (bottom option under Frame Rate) as opposed to auto, you cannot manually change the shutter speed to 48 as you would when shooting anamorphic 24fps, for example, while using the Manual Control wheel (like at 6:50 ). If the Shutter option under Frame rate is set to 60Hz, then the shutter speed on the wheel will not go lower than 60 and likewise if set to 50Hz. It needs to be set to "Auto shutter". I found this out the "hard" way :-)

26:55 , i'm unable to monitor the audio (headphone monitoring switched on) via bluetooth earbuds when using external microphone (rode videomicro), however when internal mic is used, it is working fine. Is this expected? Update: I found out that external mics which use the type-c or lightening port to 3.5mm jack adapters don't get registered with filmic pro headphone monitoring so it doesn't work. However external mics with inbuilt type-c or lightening ports work well. More info here: www.iphoneographers.tv/post/monitoring-audio-with-filmic-pro

It's LogV3 for 10 bit. Personally I'm not convinced. I don't think it's better quality, but some people like it for colour work. Certainly 10 bit is better than 8 bit. Plus you can't use Dolby Vision at the same time

Fantastic video. Thank you very much, it has been a great help😊 I have a question I Hope you can answer. I made this recording that works great on my Phone (Samsung s10), but when I view the recording on my pc both video and audio has been speeded up. I tried copy pasting to my pc and I also tried streaming directly from my phone via USB cable, but it was the same. The only way I could get it to my pc was by uploading to KZbin from my phone and then downloading on my pc. I even tried on a different pc to see if it ha to do with the pc, but it seems like it does not. If I copy the video file from the pc and back to the phone speed of the clip is back to normal, when viewed on the phone. Could this have something to do with a setting in Filmic pro? Kind regards Johnny
