Moby is probably the most likable artist around, he's down to earth, cool knowledgeable guy.. always a pleasure to watch his interviews!

I thought he was alright, I don't follow people on social media and such, but honestly his recent tattoos have made me realize maybe he's a little weirder than I thought. Haha. It's his body, sure, but really off-putting as a casual fan. Play is still a great album though. 👌 and he has good music recommendations.

He actually covered a Bad Brains song “Sailin’ On” in 1999, that is a stunning, beautiful, atmospheric, melancholic song.

It's funny, rock musicians buy mainly electronic/dance music, and electronic/dance musicians, buy rock/blues...He's spot on about "I only have eyes for you", totally narcotic sounding.
@MeanderingSlacker9 жыл бұрын
+Fer Abra It doesn't sound like work. Like Moby isn't hearing just a guy playing with filters and the rockers aren't hearing a dude make a rock song, they're hearing the music.

One of his biggest selling albums was "Play." You may actually know some of the songs on that album and not realize it's him, as every song on the album was licensed for commercial use.

I love that scene in American Graffiti when Toad is opening beers to give to Debbie while the radio is playing in the background "I Only Have Eyes For You" by the Flamingos. That was the song me and my wife chose to dance to at our wedding reception.

What an obscure choice for "Most well know L.A. band" by Moby. Nationally there are only a handful of people who ever heard of Wild Gift. No one better encapsulates the L.A . "Look and Feel" and "Sound and Vibe" than Van Halen!

Mobister with an Agnostic Front shirt ...curiously enough Mobister did some good narcotic stuff with Mark Lanegan. Mobister being into ,Psychic TV, Throbbing Gristle ,NoN and Diamanda Galás ...basivcally ,Mobister´s "What´s in my bag " made me reflect a LOT about my levels of hipsterness

Can someone explain the constant Moby hate? I've never understood it. I grew up with early Moby albums hidden in my dad's music library and playing it when he was out. Kind of how I found out about all the music I listen to now. I've always loved his style, although his early songs can kind of wash themselves out with how much goes on. He seems intelligent and nice enough, is there something I've been missing all these years?
