nice build man. i found the easiest way to clean my pc and parts. before assembling i use a nano spray wax and buff all parts, with in common reason, and just use a long hair brush over the weeks and the dust just comes off so easily

Simple medium-size fine hair paint brush does wonders for cleaning hard-to-get dust.

@@EIGAtech XTIA Xproto-ATX Case V2. I hardly see any KZbinrs making videos about it, so it seems to be quite niche, just like the case featured in this video. The reason I chose this case is that I wanted an open-frame design that could accommodate an AIO cooler without it looking out of place. Like with the case shown in this video, I actually think what you've done with an air cooler looks much better than using an AIO on this open frame because from what I have seen it does not seem to come together that well in my opinion. Additionally, I wanted the flexibility to install any GPU I wanted without worrying about whether it would fit. The entire case has a volume of just under 17 liters. Another significant advantage is that this case can accommodate an ATX motherboard, which I really appreciate because ITX boards don't have enough I/O ports for my needs, whereas most ATX boards do. The ATX motherboard I use has 10 USB ports and 3 USB-C ports, and I’m already using 7 of the USB ports (including 1 USB-C). So, I'm really pleased that this SFF case can fit an ATX board while still leaving enough USB ports available for future use.

@@emiel255 That’s a really nice one. I considered doing a build in it actually, maybe will at some point. How did you handle I/O clutter? I’ve seen others using various flat/angled cables from ADT-Link.

@@EIGAtech that it’s definitely something I have never worried about because I consider myself fairly clean when it comes to PC builds. So I have my PC next to me on the right of my desk and all the cables are nice and tightly tie wrapped (I have used only 2) so there is not really much clutter anywhere to be honest. And it has also nothing to do with this case because I’ve always been like that cable managing everything as best as I can I don’t really use custom cables and I’ve never felt I need them because the cables that I can see on the PC itself all go to the back of the case and since it is a very short travel from the front to the back of the case I’ve never felt the default cables a feel out of place. Like they stick out of the motherboard and immediately go to the back plus the default cables are already black just as I want since I don’t use any RGB I also forgot to mention that one of the reasons that I wanted an open frame is because it really appeals to me that whenever I want to change up my build or change a component that I can just easily do it whenever I can without much fuss (that you can not easily get with a very tiny SFF case)

Great video and edit ! Thanks for the shoutout but, most of all, thanks for the first detailed review of that chassis. I love it and have spent countless hours working on it already. I think you pointed out all important aspects of it here. The build is perfect imo. As you said, this chassis is made for people who wanna bring an artistic idea to its final shape. Exactly what you did by integrating those "closed" components (Fe and assassin) on the open case. Looks terrific. Can't wait for your custom loop here !

Very nice video and great job on explaining the uni clamp mechanism. I actually like that the SYS8 is not bead blasted before anodizing and thus you can still see faint hints of the machining.

I something similar using 20mm aluminum extrusions. I wanted a case where the motherboard wouldn't flex when I installed parts.

I think its actually priced reasonably. Not much more than a FormD T1 after considering you dont need case fans, you get way better cpu cooling, you dont need a bunch of accesories (fan ducts, exhaust shrouds, fan splitters, etc.), and itll work with any future upgrade without size considerations.

The A45 is indeed nice, but you really can't go wrong with the SYS8, especially if you already like the idea of open air cases.

Machining marks can be hallmarks of the machinist performing the work, as well as the tooling used. Sure, you can make the machining marks go away via post processing but doing so would be akin to a highly skilled welder grinding down their welds. Doing so may also conceal the fact that CNC machining was performed, and can lead to the perception of castings, lesser quality. +1 for machining marks.

Baldur's Gate 3's cpu barbecuing tendencies brought me here haha. I love my hyte y60 case to absolute death, and aesthetically I would say my PC is an actual 10/10... but if one can just get better thermals/performance for the cost of dusting every now again this is tempting. Very cool build here.

Insane build, thank you ! Could you do a version with an AIO too ? Like a 280/380 or 420mm. They don't provide a lot of details on the website, apart from some heavily custom builds. Would tip for a video like this. Thank you !

I’d likely try to go with MOBO on one side and PSU / GPU on other. I think it’d look more balanced that way

The GPU bracket only has one place it can go, so only the standard layout is supported. But I am sure it could be modded to work somehow, but then you’d also need a riser…

Hey, I want to build in the case as soon as it's available again, your video (as well as the T1 Pneumatic Tubes video) really gave me inspiration. What cable lengths (GPU/CPU/MB) would you recommend for this build? They fitted quite well in your case, maybe 1-2cm shorter.

You get what you pay for. The only competitor in terms of quality and versatility is a lot more expensive. And the cheaper options are either less versatile or of lackluster quality.

Is there any sort of gpu support bracket with this thing, or does the angle just naturally keep it that tight to the cooler? Looks great either way.

No support bracket, but it’s rock solid with only the faintest perceivable sag.

Coil whine is a valid concern, and a case might help hide it a bit, but I haven't noticed a difference personally, I can hear the coil whine on my 4090 regardless.

Should fit fine, SFX-L are longer but use the same mounting holes.

Not without a custom bracket of sorts. Personally, I think SATA SSDs would just add clutter. With itx boards supporting 2 or even 3 m.2 slots there's no point in using SATA anymore, and old drives can be put into USB-C enclosures and accessed externally.

@@EIGAtech yeah true but the reason I asked is because I and I assume a lot of other people still have SATA SSD’s. Especially since they are relatively cheap and can hold lots of files on them that don’t necessarily need super fast storage But now that I think of it maybe you could have an USB C SATA SSD enclosure that has a long cable so I can store and hide them under the desk so they are not visible. That would actually be a great alternative for an open frame like this that doesn’t support SATA SSD brackets Also I don’t know a lot of ITX boards that can hold 3 M.2 personally so I would love to know which one does

@@emiel255 Yup, I'm sure there's plenty of solutions. One type-C cable is neater than SATA data + power cables. I personally just connect my drives when I need files stored on them or need to backup things. The Gigabyte B650I Aorus Ultra has 3 m.2 slots.

@@EIGAtech yeah I would personally like to have them permanently attached so I can use them immediately. This means I would have to have a long USB C cable so I could hide them better. I don’t like having to plug them in every time personally. The other thing with ITX cases is that a lot of time they don’t have enough USB ports imo. Like I said in another comment my motherboard (ATX in an SFF form factor) has like 10 USB ports plus 3 USB C and I already use 7 of them so If I’m ever gonna go for ITX again I need the ITX case with the most motherboards. Hopefully that would then also come with 3 M.2 slots like the on you mentioned

I think the psu fan needs to be faced outwards. the psu fan is just taking in the motherboard heat the way you have done it in this video.

It's absolutely fine. There's quite the gap and not much heat coming off the motherboard backside. I've done way worse things to the SF750 than this SF1000 has to deal with in this build.

@@EIGAtech well, the screws is looked at closer, where all hex. the ellen-wrench is also a hex, not a torx. Torx is is star, hex is a hexagon

We actually do have a cat, but it's quite well behaved and never climbs on top of my desk (as far as I know 👀).

I do have a cat (with long hairs the b@#@^#^#) and I do run open air PCs as my main rig all the time. I can tell you it's fine. The one showed in the slideshow was my main PC for the last 3 weeks. Closed cases used to became fur clutters too and cleaning was a nightmare. Open air requires 5 minutes of blower once a week. I'd just be careful if you have very young kids (they might hurt themselves on fan blades or so).

Depends on you setup. I have an open air case myself for almost 2 years and I could not be more happy. For me it is a case that I will be having for a long time. Noise levels at idle sit at 37/38 DB and during gaming at 40DB (measured at 50cm away form the PC) which is very quiet :)

@@emiel255 For me I don't mind fan noise but coil whine drives me crazy and with coil whine it's all luck if you get a unit whuch has bad or no coil whine

@@astoraan6071 very true although mine is very low pitched during gaming so much so that I never notice it. Only during loading screen it pitches up a bit but again not to a level that I get annoyed at. I have heard worse coil whine so like you said it definitely depends on the GPU unit you intent to buy

I have an open air case myself for almost 2 years and I could not be more happy. For me it is a case that I will be having for a long time The whole thing of “what about dust though” is very dependent on the dust situation in your house. I clean my PC every 5 months or so for approximately no more than 8 minutes and everything is clean again. And even after those 5 months it is not like there is a pack of dust on it rather just a very very thin layer. And even then there are no drops in either performance nor higher temps

I see what happens to closed cases after seasons of no maintenance... They're disgusting. Open air is for those that maintain things and like the aesthetic. To each their own. If you like closed systems... great.
