Hi everyone, I didn't notice there was a overlapping of audio lines at the at of the sound tests, until I saw some people were mentioning it. I am so so sorry for that! I don't know how I didn't notice it! This is really annoying to listen to! I will upload another sound test! I am really sorry for that! ;-; Edit: The editing software I'm using had a bug (I reported it already and they said it's fixed now). I cut out the sound test at the end (therefore there is now a rough transition..) and will upload a separate video for them. It might take a few hours for YT to apply the changes. Again, I'm sorry! ;-;

@@109destiny Making the font darker or black is actually worse. You can make a screenshot and add some dark font on top. Adding background wouldn't look good with the aesthetic I am going for. Since now no one mentioned this issue, but if there will be more feedback regarding that, I will try to come up with something. Thanks for your feedback! :)

Hey! Wonderful video, as always! I just wanted to ask about the tape and PE foam that you used to mod your keyboard. How do I know if the tape and the PE foam I use is conductive or not? I heard that some tapes will mess up the keyboard or something. I also, some tapes will leave residue on the pcb and such. Did yours have any residue, or any interference with the pcb? Sorry for my ignorance… I’m still a bit new to this hobby 😅
@ricecloud2 жыл бұрын
Hi you can google how to test if the pe foam is conductive, but when i searched about pe foam mod, it felt like everyone are saying different things... i had some left over pe foam from a giant tv flat screen, and it happens to be save to use (i just tried it out tbh), i still have so much left, that i probably won't ever have to worry about it running out. As for tape, i think painters tape is the best, as they are designed for not being too sticky, i use masking tape which is similar to painters tape, but it's adhesive is suppose to be a little bit stickier, it did peel it tape off of some boards and had no residue issues (idk the long term impact tho)

If ur still looking to upgrade some budget boards, you should defenitly try the MK870, its a tkl with south facing pcb, screw in compatability and its only worth $80! Nevertheless great content! You def deserve the 19k !!!
@ricecloud2 жыл бұрын
Was eyeing the mk870 for a while but I am not a huge fan of tkl anymore (except if you can reprogram the keys) but I will consider getting on, if there is enough interest! Thank you so much!

love your video !!! I purchased a K98 recently, but i'm used to AZERTY keyboard, do you know where can I find pudding keycaps that are made for AZERTY ? Because it's seems like there are none on the market :/
@ricecloud2 жыл бұрын
a quick search on google says that there are pudding xda keycaps, however they seem to be not available right now. if it has not to be sculpted and pudding keycaps, then you could go for xda, dsa, asa keycap profile, reach row are the same so you can change the keycaps regardless of the position

Where do people get pe foam from? I don't have any extra packaging laying around with it in there ;-; also in the end you decided not to go with the foam right? trying to use this mod for my gammakay87.
@ricecloud2 жыл бұрын
I don't think that pe foam will make a huge a difference. I think there are also pe foam switch pads.
@NUDELMOB2 жыл бұрын
Hmmm, I think it would have been cool if you also had put a blue or white layer of paper or something on the back, since now the tape is visible there. Not that one looks on the back of the keyboard very often, but I think it'd be a nice touch ✌️

It's a little bit more dimmed I would say. But the lights are still bright and vibrant. But you can just leave the spots out. The tape will be still effective.

are u pushing down on both flaps on the top and bottom of the switch? sometimes the plate can be made quite tight making it hard to pull out the switches. i'd recommend getting a separate full size switch puller instead of the small ones that usually come along with a keyboard, they work way better
