Great video and very clearly explained. These signals are really smart and look easy to install. Look forward to more videos from you. Excellent presentation. Happy Modelling !

Great video ,something that can be a nightmare to install made easy with these signals. Can only seem to find them on one site though would you have a link to where you can buy them 👍

Great video. Can i use these on my DC layout like you have in the video? Thanks

Great video. Can this be used with DC layouts (potentially with a seperate 12v supply to keep the constantly on)?
@ModelRailMagazine4 жыл бұрын
Hi T Roe, yes it can be used with DC, Train-Tech explain how to on their website and in the instruction manual.

Presumably you can use any wire to link the signals as the distance between signals is likely to be much greater than in this demo or must you use the supplied wire only?
@ModelRailMagazine4 жыл бұрын
Train-Tech recommends using single core wire but as long as you use a wire which fits in the hole for the connection it can be any length you need.

Great video, well explained, will certainly be adding these to my layout. Cheers! AHJ

can you add a link so we can see what brand of signals you are using? please

There are more details in Model Rail issue 278 which is out tomorrow but the signals can be found here: www.train-tech.com/index.php/signalling/sensor-signals-fully-automatic-signalling

How far apart should the actual signals be from each other because the length of wire you were using didn’t appear to be very long? Thanks, Mel
@ModelRailMagazine4 жыл бұрын
Hello Mel, the wire was around a meter long, maybe a bit longer. The distance between signals will be dictated by your longest train as you need to ensure it can fit completely within the signal block

Where is the IR sensor located?
@ModelRailMagazine4 жыл бұрын
Hi Kenneth, the sensor is at the base of the signal

What's the name brand of those signals and where to buy them?

Wow! thanks. Is this DC or DCC?
@ModelRailMagazine4 жыл бұрын
Hello Robert, this is on DCC but DC can be used as well with a separate supply.

When the sensors are linked should the block change and stay yellow until the next block is green? or do you need three sensors?
@ModelRailMagazine3 жыл бұрын
Hi Scott, you would need 3 sensors for a 3 aspect signal as you need to create enough blocks on the line. You can buy the sensor on its own though should you only want two signals in the track and just place the sensor further down the line

Do they do these in different gauges?
@ModelRailMagazine4 жыл бұрын
Hi Ron, the signals are in OO/HO but the sensor can be bought and paired with Gaugemaster N gauge signals. Full details are on the Train-Tech website
