Thank you for a simple straightforward video. I am a car modeler that has started to become interested in building dioramas to showcase my builds. Most of the websites and videos I have watched till now have been confusing or have used speciality products or techniques. Your demonstration was easy to follow and to the point. Nice job!

Scenic Cement, with it's formulated wetting agent and excellent watery consistency dries almost without any noticeable effect on the applied landscape. However, just to recapture the pre-cemented look of the foam, I suggest after applying the cement with the pipette and while still wet, to reapply in a very scattered and random way, using a very light hand - some of the previous foam layers so they sit just on top of the initial wet layer. This would subtly reduce any perceived "plasticky" look to the landscape. The use of "wet water" is an important stage. It aids in preventing the Scenic Cement from sitting on top of the foam, and by virtue of its presence as an additional diluting liquid, reduces the dried plastic look. Thanks again for the video; I really like the base layer. When the base layer looks this good, it encourages the modeler to proceed with confidence to the next step.

Wow. That's a lot of vegetation on the completed model! I would guess that it models the Tennessee River Valley, where this quantity of vegetation would be typified. And simple, practical techniques, like thinning the brown paint with water, and applying glue over wet paint, for the wet-adhesion process of turf. A pleasant video.

These products will work well with dioramas and model scenes also all you need is some tanks, and small military/civilian themed models and you got a diorama

Hi there! I was wondering the Earth Blend and Burnt Grass, do you use Scenic Fine Turf? Then for the textures do you add in the Course Turf green? I'm trying to do some ground cover, and this video helped me alot!!! Thanks!

Have any of you used grass mat instead of ground foam Cody?
@Clocksangel3 жыл бұрын
Hmm, grass mats are nice, but normally I only use it for outside of the layout, like around my switch area, and my control panel is covered with a grass mat. I have recently purchased one to cover a hill I am about to make on the layout.

There are several factors in building a railroad layout. One plan I discovered that succeeds in merging these is the Jareks hobby club (google it if you're interested) it's the most incredible resource that I have ever heard of. look at the unbelievable info .

Just get plaster and paint it black for the roads and light grey for the sidewalks, then just mix light grey (or white) with the black and paint not too much or too little and then paint in a straight line of yellow (just medium lines) and for the sidewalks, do the same as the road but just use little bits of dark grey and your done
