As a mom of two young kids and as a child of divorce and remarriage, I can tell you that my heart hurts when I remember how much love I missed out on. I make up for it by showering my kids and husband with affection.

Excellent video that I _will_ be sharing. I know it's too late to change the video, but in the description where it says, “Modern Family” is code for “child loss,” the phrase "child loss" is ambiguous and confusing. Please change it to “Modern Family” is code for “the child loses.”

I agree. Child loss usually means a miscarriage or death of the child.

This video is accurate, but seriously counter-cultural. So many adults have grown up being told, and believing, that their "needs" take precedent over any one else's. A good book on this issue is: Them Before Us: Why We Need a Global Children's Rights Movement, by Katy Faust & Stacy Manning.

Marvelous video. Thanks so much for including the point about no fault divorce causing kids to lose access to their parents. The fact that there are more single moms / moms with custody than there are single dads / dads with custody means boys are especially impacted when their parents aren't together...more boys (than girls) grow up without routine involvement in their lives of their same-sex parent - the parent who can model how to grow into a mature adult man.

Why the prisons are filled with men raised by a mother without any man around. Also why people look to the government to provide the "daddy" elements of being provided for.

Oh I thought this video was about whether the kids in the Modern Family TV show would be fine - which is something I always questioned! With Lily being raised by two gay dads, with Manny sleeping in the same bed with his mother till age 11 and always having his head crushed into her breasts, with Joe always being neglected and used - the kids in that show appear to be ok but _definitely_ aren’t !

In this society that attacks Christian beliefs and most young Christians leave the faith when they go off to college, I strongly encourage you to teach them to defend the faith and be able to answer the hard questions from atheists/nonbelievers/etc! This will help strengthen their own belief too against those who try to “disprove” Christianity. God bless!

@@jeanwanchen1 Absolutely. I was raised under the "hellfire and brimstone" method. The church I attended turned a blind eye to the abuse I was suffering at home, and even had me questioning what I had done to deserve it. When I asked the elders and pastors the hard questions, their only answer was essentially, "believe or burn". All together, it made the idea of leaving the church not just easy, but compelling. I became an atheist as a young teen. Only now, decades on, have I found my way back to Christ. I want to be certain that the next generation doesn't end up suffering and becoming lost as I did.

A terribly raw and tender topic that many refuse to even look at because standing up against all this means so much controversy and pain, hurt feelings, loss of identity etc etc as we all know someone we love dearly who participates in this way of life. Possibly a better way moving forward would mean more and more people whether gay or straight gently start waking up to the fact that this way of life is a state of unwellness which will prevent our 'spiritual growth'. It would be best if people gently start healing within their own homes rather than having angry mob like movements get in there like a bull in a china shop and begin ripping existing families apart. This would be much to traumatizing for the children. A gentle, respectful, soothing and caring way forward is always best if the people will listen.

There is no mold that makes a family better than another. Having grown up with same sex parents, I’m just as happy and as accepted as I ever could be! I just want kids to have some form of family and parents, whether that be by birth, through adoption or any other means, it’s just best for kids to have parent(s). Why turn down a child from being adopted because “there might be a straight couple for them”, when the kids don’t give a shit.

I agree with most of what is in this video. My issue is with basically saying that homosexual couples shouldn't be parents. I'll give you the most obvious thing that comes to mind is foster children or abandoned children, that are looking for a loving home. Plenty of loving homosexual couples... should they not get an opportunity? I'll even add a bonus one, and say single people who choose not to get married, but can adopt or foster, would that be ok? Or is this strictly speaking of surrogates? Just throwing some thoughts out there... thanks.
@SeriouslyServin3 жыл бұрын
I love you all's channel! I have a question about surogusy! Y'all mentioned how babies without biological parents can have problems down the road, but what about adoption? It's the same with adoption, but adoption is supported in the Christian worldview!
@SeriouslyServin3 жыл бұрын
Thank you!!
@LightDragon7773 жыл бұрын
I think the key difference is that in one of those cases the separation is optional, and in the other it's unavoidable. Separation through surrogacy is something that people have forced the child into, whereas children who are adopted often have no choice but to be separated from their biological parents.

Concerning having a child through a surrogate, there is no vetting of biological parents either. Actually, I'm fairly sure that most surrogates are vetted by the perspective parents. Almost anyone can pop out a child of there own without any qualities that would make them a "good" parent.
