I just made this. Sooo good and sooo easy to make. I am fortunate to live next to Koreatown in LA where I can easily source all the ingredients

What would be a good substitution for perilla leaves. I tried to grow some this year as they're not available where i live, but pests got to them before theycould get going😭

@@ramonaburns4077 Hi 👋 Here is how to make Korean white rice. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hHSqfH-EetllfKcsi=BKwrDEkChFS2-uHO Sweet white rice grains are added (just a little) to medium grain white rice. Mochie gome sounds like Japanese rice.

@@ModernPepper hmm I bought it at the Korean store….im going to send u a pic of the packaging to ur fb lol

@@ramonaburns4077 I looked it up. It is Japanese sweet white rice. You can use it but just a little to the medium grain white rice. I explain all this in the video above.

How would smoke tofu be in this?
@ModernPepper4 ай бұрын
@@JPMasonDun Hi 👋 I would cut the smoked tofu into thin strips and toss with the noodles. OR make make it without tofu.

Why wouldn't using any thin chinese plain wheat noodle not work perfectly fine? Especially after suggesting angel hair pasta I find the insistence on Korean somyeon a bit strange.
@ModernPepper4 ай бұрын
@@triplediff Hi 👋 You certainly add whatever noodles you like. There are so many types of Chinese noodles, and they all vary in taste and texture. I personally suggested Italian Angel Hair pasta because it is easy for our non-Korean friends to find at a local market.
