Can confirm the MRAC design negates conflicts. I have one on BCM MCMR (regular MRAC, not the XL). MRAC utilizes 1913 mounting piece. Light mount is 1913 Arisaka Pro mount, mounted to the MRAC 1913 mounting piece. Light is a SF M640DFT and it cantilvers perfectly along side the shield. I dig it. The Modtac is a really cool product that checks a lot of boxes.

That’s a bummer about the MR762. I do a lot of distance shooting with mine and was wanting one of these for mirage.

Would a Magpul Cantilever rail light mount + TRex Picatinny Lightbar give you the clearance and put the light forward enough to avoid most shadowing.

I checked those and I think they would probably work. I already went with a different mount at this point but I'll keep those parts in mind for future reference in case I want/need to change my setup again.

I ordered the URAC for my 11.5” Geissele URGI and it wouldn’t work. Spent over a month of back and forth Emails sending a bunch of pictures and measurements. Long story short with how the handgaurd on the 11.5 URGI sits to close to the SURFIRE 4 prong flash hider so when the URAC device is mounted the Surefire RC2 can’t fully seat and lock on. So they ended up sending me a standard MRAC. Kinda disappointed about that but at least I can still use it.

Any news on the AK101, curious on the repairs and overall quality control after it returns back to the customer.

They sent me two replacement firing pins and it's been working but it seems like the firing pin hole might be starting to wear and enlarge. My firing schedule has gone way down on the AK-101 since my last video on it as I've been focusing on other rifles lately but I have just under 1,000 rounds through it now.

Would it work on the bottom of the picatinny rail ?

It won't work on the bottom picatinny because the vents will point straight up and you'd get substantially more heat mirage visible.

why not run oversized hanguard?

There's not a whole lot of oversized handguard options for the 416 aside from Maxim Defense's handguards which might work but I'm not really a fan of those as they're in non-standard lengths and profiles which would make the rest of the setup a bit weird.

@@Feldmutze diamondback firearms sells oversize hand guards that’ll fit your suppressor in perfectly I run one on my 8 inch rifles it cost me $24 for a 10 inch one they had on clearance

@@IMABEAST191 Those are only for ARs. The HK416 upper receiver spec isn't compatible with AR-15 handguards.
