"Katsudon Chiyomatsu" in Namba, Osaka.
A former sumo wrestler made a cutlet bowl that he himself would like to eat.
We closely followed the best rice bowl in pursuit of something big and delicious!

ここ最近行きましたがお肉が凄く分厚いのにもかかわらず、お肉が柔らかく程よい脂身でくどくなく衣もサクサクで美味しかったです! 卓上に味変の調味料もあるので最後まで飽きずに食べられました!

I love how down to Earth his reason for starting the restaurant is. If whatever you're getting isn't enough for you, just cook your own food. And if you feel the same way, there is likely others that feel the same way!

Honestly for me the size looks excessive but at least the food is made with care and passion rather than rolling off a corporate production line made by people who hate their jobs. I bet its delicious but I probably wouldn't be able to finish it.

Like Paperkutchy says, there are good places in America(an indeed anywhere in the world, you just have to go out and look for them/pay attention to those places). Culturally, there's a bad habit in the states to think big brand fast foods. None of those options will ever really surprise you with quality(too much of a focus on turning a profit, but find a brand that focuses on quality, and a company like that can turn their market share into securing good quality for cheaper than smaller places, it's really just down to whether or not they can bypass the greed and pass on the benefits of large market share onto their customers). That said, don't look at Katsudon as health food... While it's healthier than burgers/fries, it's still a pretty fattening food without enough vegetables and a poor option vs a balanced diet.

Well if you only go to McDonalds and Taco Bell, of course you’re going to think Western cuisine isn’t comparable. Many of the top restaurants in the world are in America. I recommend you try some out. It’ll change your perspective!
