I feel like it's so much easier to deal with when your children are so young and oblivious lol I'm nervous for when my son becomes more aware of who people are that come around. He gets along so well but I dont want any attachment to anyone but me (for my son).

Im having a situation like that. I been talking to this guy almost 1yr we meet for the first time 1 month ago now we're in a relationship and he want to meet my kids but i told my kids over the phone and they said no my son (13) told me no i have my ways to get rid of cockroaches.🙁 also he's younger than me and little nervous about what kids will think because he's too young.

You should have talk to your children about this before getting into a relationship. What do u single mothers thinking when getting into relationships like your children will straight away accept this new partner. Come on!! You should have told your children that you r gonna date and you should date a man almost same as your age not younger. Have some sense woman. I feel pity for ur children. You know that your are traumatizing ur children by having this man right

When you’re dating a single parent you’re not just dating the partner you’re dating the kids the family. If you’re kids don’t like that person then you end it with them, or if it makes you’re child and ex uncomfortable then you should not be with them

Im sorry but if the partner is not abusive or a bad person and the child is just being a brat and saying no im still keeping that partner - its a child; if a child could make such BIG decisions what would they need parents for? Utter brat enabling lol

If a single parent did not lose the partner as a result of death. Never date a single parent whose relationship did not work and hope to put someone else's responsibility on you. This is madness and society has gone crazy to even support this. Have a bastard baby is your own bad choice and please stop destroying innocent young men. The blame goes to the pathological father and mother. If you ever date a single mum they should be at your mercy not the kids to choose you. You have to chose them. Their past abusive relationship is not my problem. I'm not here to fix anyone or offer them a better relationship. I'm childless and refuse to date single parents. If any childless guys I date have history of abusive relationships I'm out. I don't want drama. There are however excellent therapists I can recommend. I'm not helping anyone heal from abuse. It's not my job
