"The president of a California Moms for Liberty chapter went viral this week after a video surfaced of her freaking out at a drag queen in the lobby of a hotel.
Beth Bourne, president of the Yolo County chapter of the right-wing group, was staying at the Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii when she spotted the group of performers. Among them was Marina Del Rey, a local Hawaiian who was slated to perform for a Drag Brunch event at the resort.
Del Rey began recording Bourne who, shakily recording herself, berated the group, calling their outfits “degrading” and insinuating they were misogynistic."

My grand nephew, 6 years old, wears dresses now and then. My niece sent a photo of him with his little brother and is wearing a dress. My brother (his grand father) told me that my niece has called the family and said that he wanted to wear his dress on Easter and wanted them to know and wanted to be sure his cousins didn't make fun of him. They didn't the day went well. He is not in a dress all the time, still wears his ball caps, his jeans, and so on but he is not shamed when he wears his dress, and also he is not encouraged. If he wants to wear his dress he can, if not, that's good too. They do not make it a big deal and I guess we will have to see where it goes IF it goes. That woman is a total nut case and I truly feel for her kids. How twisted. If I were the hotel, I'd tell her not to let the door hit her where the good Lord split her. For Bible thumpers the words "liberty" and "freedom" have different meanings than they do for the rest of us. I once asked one about this, when I had a job where I met a lot of people. I asked, "how can you justify wanting the government to regulate consensual behavior among adults in a free country?" The reply I got was that to them "freedom" didn't mean you get to do what you want, but freedom from "sin". They used addiction as an example, and implied that all behavior they didn't approve of was like drug addiction and in order to be "free" one had to accept their version of religion, otherwise they were "slaves" to addictive, sinful behavior. Vaush also covered this, while referring to a Daily Mail article. Note: Beth Bourne is a program director for the Institute for Transportation Studies at UC Davis. I don't think her employer is going to be very happy with her behavior. The trigger seems to be that her son is now non-binary.

Well she is a hypocrite when it comes to her job. UC Davis, along with City of Davis, is well known for being very liberal and she had to have come across plenty of people that should would have disapproved of. Probably lives in the countryside surrounding Davis that is filled with Trumpers. Reminds me of a young middle aged hotel desk clerk from some obscure farm town on Iowa now living the Phoenix, Arizona, area. She totally freaked when she saw some young people, in town for a music festival, come into the lobby with hair of all assorted colors. Some live such sheltered lives that they should stay put in small town USA and leave the rest of the world alone.
