Rod, that butterfly is precious. Any butterfly collector would cherish it. I know you said name any butterfly, but I have always considered the Lunar moth to be too pretty to be called a moth. When the right light hits it, it’s stunning. That said, my most favorite butterfly is the Eastern Black Swallow Tail. 😉 Hugs to Susan!. 😊

Gorgeous!!! The Monarch butterfly is my favorite. Saw so many of them when I was a kid. The Zebra Swallowtail, Queen Alexandra Birdwing, Blue Morpho, Tiger Swallowtail, and Peacock butterflies are beautiful creatures if you are creating a series of projects with butterflies. that is lovely, you brought back 2 beautiful memories. One of the 2 years our cottage was in the Monarch migration path and the trees were covered with thousands of Monarch butterflies! Dear Rod, nice piece of art. I would like to see more butterfly projects. My favorite butterfly is the peacock butterfly since I have so many happy childhood memories connected to it. The other favorite is the brimstone butterfly which always appears when I am thinking of my mom who passed away in 2012 at the age of 68. And the dovetail butterfly is flying all the way from the Tuscany in Italy to the Rhein-Main area here in Germany where I live. So it is a very special summer guest to me since he looks like a little humming bird when feeding on any flower for nectar. Please stay safe and take care. Semper Fi.

Just gorgeous! Looks like a real Monarch sitting on a log. You are so skilled. That caterpillar on the back was a professional touch, beautiful! Pity to hide it though. Should have been on front in some way. Nice to see both side by side. Thank you for this treat! How about printing on thin tracing paper, sticking it to the wood, and wood burning right over it with no tracing steps. That might be faster.
