The south of England is already densely populated , Governments keep talking about levelling up the North so why not build on some of those huge open spaces ? , Yorkshire has a big empty moor ,the lake district desperately needs housing and has tons of undeveloped land ........Scotland is almost Barren for the most part when compared to Southern England and much of the land is already owned by the Crown.

people wouldnt mind new houses if infrastructure was also included each planning must have as the law have a road safety check and that means can more traffic on these roads we currently have handle the extra expected traffic and the answer is no yet they are built anyway. my town is a mess we having many new build go up yet no road improvements, no schools from low too high , no doctors no new hospitals no dentists the list is crazy. we do new a massive new city to be built with all the new migrants and natural population increasing. china have done a complete city thats empty and even add subways for future increase. UK is behind is sooo many things now we must stop saying we a great country and we the best. we lack so much. going back too the point the trains need upgrading the station needs improving. its joke how a complete 15k houses can be built with no added forward thinking. our hospital is old and was designed for population of 3,000 now and have beds of 300, we at 300k and rising yet still have beds for 300. and then u see why beds space is an issue. the hospital was given the land for free. yet hospital sold the land for other business so now the hospital can not grow on current site, car parking there is a nightmare. also i wanna add many dont shop in local town because its quicker too leave and drive too a city then drive in from 3 miles away too park and shop in local town. how utterly crazy is that. planning needs too happen and it needs a big plan and to be dne quick and with other measures.

The last thing communities need is low cost social housing in their neighborhoods or towns. These type of housing brings crime, drugs, antisocial behavior and infrastructure nightmares.
