FCNR , keep your money in Foreign Currency ! The Rupee is going down 6 to 7% every year compared to other currencies! I left India when USD was below 8 rupees ,14 years ago it was 58 , all were blaming the high crude oil price. The crude oil price came down from 147 dollars to 27 Dollars per barrel still the Ruee went up from 58 Rupee.to 84 Rupee per dollar. your bank will commit a certain interest rate, which is higher than FD rates. You will get the same at the time of maturity. No tds applicable from FCNR to INR as long as you are investing from your NRE account.. Better check with your bank for more info.

കുറച്ചു കാലമായി nre ആണ്. നാട്ടിലെ പഴയ സേവിങ്സ് അക്കൗണ്ടിൽ ന്ന് sip MF ചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ട്. ഇനി അത് nro ആക്കി മാറിയാൽ sip തുടരാമോ. Redeem ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ തുക ഇതിലേക്കു തന്നെ വരുമോ. Pls advise.
