A big thank you to the lady who, although clearly attached to the little monkey, realized it will have the happiest life being with his own kind. I hope she watches him go through the process of getting a monkey mom and is reassured she did the right thing by not keeping him as a pet. The animal world needs more people like her.

Thanks again for another great video from vmf. I could watch all day, however I know they don't have the time. Thanks for anything we can get.

This is such a sweet episode in a lot of ways and I think it really highlights the kind of people that follow the VMF too. I loved seeing Ellio and Candy all growing up. I really applaud the lady who gave up an animal she clearly cared about, she said she was even taking him to work with her so he wasn't home alone. I hope she sees all these kind words and knows she did the best possible thing for him. ❤ And, yes, they really got the feeding cage fast, didn't they? Smart little boys.

Another wonderful episode and, like you, I love seeing the babies as they're growing up. You can tell by people's comments that they're so appreciative of the life-saving work being done at VMF and even though there are almost 63 thousand subscribers the series is such that it feels like a tight-knit community. It appears from the comments that many people are emotionally invested in these monkeys having watched them progress from traumatized little creatures to full-fledged thriving monkeys with their own families. The comments are enjoyable to read I just wish more people would leave them. Hi from Canada :)

@@honeyowen3163 You're right, it really does feel like a close knit community, it's kinda the place I come when I'm feeling down, you know, watching the animals and work, sometimes commenting or reading them, reminds me that the world isn't all crap.

Finally my question about why their fur sometimes looks oily/wet. I asked once and the reply was that they probably just had a bath. But no, they do release an oil through their skins.

What a blessing that these 2 mastered the feeding cage so quickly. I agree with Mark that these 2 are so calm and chilled! It all bodes really well for their integration. As always I can hear the love and fascination for the babies in Dave's commentary 🤗. That was a lovely video, Thankyou!

Many question: ● Where do the foster moms come from? Why are they there? ● Why are they childless? ● How do you assume they WANT a child? Do you just expose them to one another and hope for the best? ● What part do the males play in the troop? ● Can you talk a little more about age, crown, skin color? ● What phase is NEVERLAND? ● What phase is DISNEYLAND? It's all fascinating, and I'm trying to learn. Thank you.

Dave and team, what happens if you receive a baby that is over the 3 month mark and a foster mom cannot be found? How do you integrate the baby to a troop? I don't remember ever seeing a video on this from you before.
@VervetMonkey Жыл бұрын
it would work more like a normal integration except we try get young more younger ones in so friends are made

There are also moms that are good with older babies and Jethro loves them so sometimes it just takes trying a different troop. I can think of several cases in the past, like Rox, but the folks at the foundation have a knack for finding the right mom.

The moment when Nils met Chane in the intro cage was so special to see, its interactions like that that make the hard nights with the orphan babies worth it. ❤ Im very grateful that we are able to see these moments from halfway across the World!!! Thank you, as always to all at the VMF for all that you do, and for sharing it with us!!!❤❤❤🙏🏿🙏🙏🏼

Why don’t you bring stuffed animals to cling to in replace of their mum for comfort, typically babies cling constantly and are insecure and fearful without something to hold. 😢
@josiehumble5907 Жыл бұрын
A few cling to teddy's in their night crates but during the day most prefer real life contact and comfort so people care for them who they also cling to and that is then transferred to the monkey foster mum
