Does charging sword meter to full increase the damage of Blade Release or should you just use it as soon as you can?

To get the max damage you have to use it when its full, you can use it any time the meter has some charge but its gonna be a lot worse than full.

Yes, you can see it based on the color of the Release. If your meter is at 50%, the release is green. At 75%, it will be yellow. And at max, it's red.

idk if its too late or something but fade slash isn't completely removed in extreme style you can do it by pressing L/R direction + O (button for thrust atk) after doing each spirit slash anyway your vid is really nice, it helps me keep MOTIVATED to go through G-rank

It’s based off monster hunter 2 I believe where the game was still an immersive sim so the small monsters weren’t to be messed with either. The games are super streamlined now so much that people describe the games as boss rushes rather than hunting careers. This game leans towards that too tbh but with more legacy features like that.

@@LacTose90 it's got A counter which has multiple functions, unlike the 4? That longsword has in rise that basically cover all situations. Also I like the greater emphasis on using spirit combo for damage rather than for raising some meter

Depends on the monster. Each monster has a different timer on how long they'll stay paralyzed. Some are paralyzed for upwards of 10 seconds, some for as little as 2.

If you are talking about the Y+B input it should be like that by default. You may have an improper control scheme that the game can start with when you downloaded it. Or it might be a controller issue, Xbox controllers have been known to not map properly, needing a 3rd party controller program to make it work or try using a playstation controller.

I have only used Greatsword in that HR, I farmed Toa for his goa gs, most of the goa weapons are good but they are mildly hard and you need to fight them 5 times to make a single weapon. Or you can fight exotic monsters with good weapons but harder fights. Abio had the best gs before then.

how do you switch what style your using

Go into your room or blacksmith room, go to the box. I think its called change equipment/SR settings, and select what ever styles are available to you. You will have to manually change every weapon's style like GU but it will remember the last style you used for that weapon when you use another.
