It's bullshit. Alpha monster doesn't tell the other one to piss off, they follow each other to the same 4 small fuckin areas, Shrieking is in the air more than Rathalos/Azure. Worst monster of the expansion. They did something with the camera too, hard to tell if you're not close enough to some monsters with bow (Tigrex) and then those monsters move across the entire map in 2 seconds. Bullshit "difficulty"

*Hint for Rookies:* If another Legiana is on the map, Shrieking Legiana will let out a unique, deeper roar that summons the other Legiana to its position. Taking them on at the same time is not advised. Either run away and hide until they separate or lure them towards a Barioth. One of the Legianas will have a Turf war with Barioth and fly to another zone afterwards.

This fight. This fucking fight. Is the absolute most frustrating, infuriating, garbage shit I’ve been apart of. NOT ONLY are you constantly getting gang banged by 2 Legianas and the occasional Barioth. NOT ONLY do you get hit with so much ice blight your consumables drop yo next to zero. BUT ALSO the Shrieking fuck runs constantly, worse than a Rathalos or Paolumu, and since your first encounter is an expedition it can end up leaving. In my experience I finally got it limping, it proceeded to fly up and perch itself in an UNPLAYABLE AREA, my scoutfiles couldn’t find it for about 20 minutes, I found it, got deep thrusted some more by the two of them, and as soon as it was weak in its nest it left the area. So ungodly frustrating.

For example, Ive been a fan of Assassin's Creed for years, I got Odyssey late, that game's rigged xp gains are bullshit, even with the level scaling setting update that came later because that doesnt change the purposefully crappy xp gains. I wouldnt try to defend it by bringing up past AC games. Every AC game has their fair share of bs(such as mandatory stealth. Or those tailing missions, which Odyssey thankfully doesnt seem to have). If anything, bringing up past MH games just makes MHW look *worse,* because the bullshit was never removed. Grinding is still rigged, monster fights are still cheap, combat is still clunky & slow, etc.

When you see two legiana, the best thing u can do is try to lured the shrieking legiana out and chase you. normally if u can lay one hit on shrieking legiana, it will chase you so you can just leave that area and go on 1v1 solo him the other won't follow out. Using dung Por not so much effective the other legiana still will come back later I try it before.

Its not worth it, to go for this Skill. And small Tip, you can roll. Fireblight vanishes by 3 Rolls, all other Blights vanish at least much faster.

Yeah ima try again i have the full odogaron beta plus and a shit ton of critacal in my build i started useing longsword (exterminations edge ) because greatsword was just to slow for this fight, i did not know nullberries cured iceblight tho i found that lureing them to the hotslprings and swimming in them gets rid of it so i suggest trying dash juice , null berry and hot springs could ksep iceblight at nay in this fight, this fight is horrible i solo tempered nergigante for practice. And i still find this fight hard even with dungpods

Huh. Ok so not to brag but reading the comments here, so many people say this fight sucked while me on the other hand found it to be fun. I dont know how exactly but I didn't really find it too difficult to keep up with the monster, even while airborne I could still damage it and find ways of taking it down. If anyone wants some tips on how I fought it, basically: 1. Mount and clutch claw ram the monster as often as possible when the opportunity arises. Look for openings. 2. Mantles are your friend in this fight. Temporal and gliding mantles are easy ways to reach the monster and get close up. Vitality+ mantle is also nice for some extra skill points and some immunity to damage. I personally use temporal + vitality+ 3. Earplugs and evade extender. Get these skills. Hg earplugs are a must have for master rank. You have tigrex and barioth armors to get these skills easily. Otherwise try to get some earplugs decorations and the charm. 4. Move with the camera. The camera will be all over the place in master rank. Get used to it. All monsters will be more mobile. Hone your instincts and reaction time in game. You wont be able to get through master rank without it. Odogeron is a good monster to practice with. 5. Shrieking legiana attacks in straight lines most of the time. While rathalos floats around the entire area with his moveset, S. legiana aims for where you currently are situated. You have plenty of chances of getting behind it and make every attack count. I suggest faster weapons like IG, LS, and db for this fight. Look for those smaller openings it leaves behind while trying to charge you.

Use the ice res jewel 4 that the melder gives you plus one more ice res with some decent armor and boom: you don’t even have to worry about iceblight since resistances over 20 automatically negate blights associated with them. Personally, I used glavenus + legiana greaves + rath helm (for that attack up), LS, defense boost 7, and some vitality and critical eye jewels. Ate for elemental res up (L). Used mega armorskins and demondrugs. Easiest fight in the game so far using this, since my ice res was at 41. And yes, do bring dung + flash pods. The regular legiana is annoying.

I was watching to find out where the cut-scene is since it didn't happen during an expedition after a quest but then I caught sight of the Longsword gameplay & right off form the very beginning it was bad & remained bad even till half way into the video at which point I had to just stop watching & comment cause I couldn't take it anymore & have to tell anyone that runs a longsword this way to use "R2+X" after the roundhouse slash so that you don't have to deal with the slow animation of sheathing your sword & can instantly go back to attacking or counterattack depending on the monsters actions. This also allows you to change directions during attacks easily. *edit* Corrected "L2+X" to "R2+X". Forgot this is the default button control combination & that I have my controls set differently.

Sunaki1000 Where did you hear that? It was never stated that all variants have to be ED tier, it just happened to be that most of the variants are ED tier. Even then, those variants are variants of monsters that were already ED tier: Bazelgeuse (seething),Deviljho (Savage), and Nergigante (Ruiner)
