It’s good to leave the kids home during this time. Tom should be extra careful when he gets home from working at the grocery store. Use hand sanitizer as soon as he gets in the car and change clothes right away. It’s crazy but you have lots of little ones to protect. Stay safe❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Your Walmart looks great & well stocked. I have not been able to find pizza sauce, spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, canned tomatoes, tomato soup, toilet paper or paper towels in 3 weeks. Proud of you getting up so early to do your shopping especially since you have mentioned you are not a morning person. Great dad moment, going the extra mile for your family.

What did the world do before toilet paper and paper towels? I mean I know, but it's amazing how much paper products the modern world wastes. My father says when he was a kid they had a Sears catalog in the outhouse. They would crumple up the pages as long as they sat there. Trying to get it soft enough to use. Then a few years ago when there was a spill at my Aunts house, during a family dinner. We used paper towels, and my Aunt said "I remember before paper towels existed." Times like now, COVID-19 2020, It really makes me think about how much waste we create.

I am so jelly. I still haven't found wet wipes. My daughter has been out and using washcloths on baby's bum for a week now. I went to 7 stores in one day in 3 different towns. sigh. Did score a box of diapers. We've been making do on grilled cheese, tomato soup & leftovers for a few days. Today in a completely different town in a different state 60 miles from home I found flour, sugar, butter, spagh noodles, meats... Still no t.p. or p.t. but oh well. If I have to, I'll make home made ones. LOL! Yuck. So glad you found what you needed. My favorite part was seeing Solly get a bowl, set it on the table, wrestle that milk jug out of the fridge and onto the table. He's getting so big! Such a sweetie. Prayers and love to all of ya'all.

I've had some trouble finding flour but even more so- salt! I'm surprised seeing the stores there. Our grocery stores have limits of how many people can go in, people checking you for symptoms at some and plexiglass is now up between cashiers and customers at some stores.

I work at King Arthur Flour and it’s incredible how many people have a started baking at home in the last couple of weeks and that’s why so many stores are running out of flour as quickly as they’re being restocked. On one hand it’s certainly frustrating, but on the other it’s nice to see a younger generation baking more from scratch

I still love these Walmart hauls....I look at the things Andrea use to buy....she use to buy the Walmart canned biscuits ......You have done a great job Tom using Andrea’s list, loved seeing it. Andrea had such a gift of organization that she shared with us all. During this Coronavirus time, I find these Walmart hauls from the past are very relaxing to watch since I am not doing as much shopping.

Yes! My Wal-Mart and Hyvee (both on State Line) are bare and now have gone from being open 24/7 to only 8a-8p. I'm ok for about 2 weeks more. Maybe then things will have died down.

Michigan went on lock down Tuesday at 12:01 am and the Governor gave us 13 hours notice. I was tucked in the house but my son, as a grocery worker, is considered essential. He said they store was madness. He had one customer buy $500 in canned goods! Stores were just beginning to get semi back to normal (other than toilet paper and eggs).

The items that seem to be scarce in my area are butter and toilet paper. Bread has been scarce as well, although getting a little better. We were lucky to get meat today as well as some fresh produce. As for the stores setting limits, I understand how important it is, but I feel bad for large families.

I noticed that you didn’t have any fresh fruits , veggies, or fresh meat. Were they sold out? Our stores in NY are in short supply of healthy supplies but have packaged and frozen foods but no butter and limited dairy

They get their fresh fruits, veggies, and meats at their local store and not at walmart.

It’s a combination of things. 1. A lot of states are locked down. 2. A lot of people have unfortunately lost their jobs. There may not be extra money for food. And 3. The distributors are trying to catch up. I’m still noticing a few things are missing from my local stores like fresh meat (it goes quick) and frozen foods.

So glad you were able to get so much. soups here are a rare find too! our local stores are the ones we can find things but flour and yeast nope. Big ones are wiped out. I was able to finally find flour at Target 40 mins away!

We've had a hard time finding flour here in NorCal, too. I placed an order with Azure Standard, but they're so swamped they can't even get me an estimated delivery date. There were still plenty of boxed mixes, though, so I got a cookie mix that was decent. Also, Eden is looking more and more like Andrea every time I see her!

Buy a bag of popcorn kernels and extra oil for snacks for kids. If you get Brown sugar and karo syrup to make Carmel corn. Check your recipes and pantry before shopping.

I'm in New Jersey. A lot of food businesses are closed to the public but you can order and pickup or have it delivered. Flour is a hot commodity here to. I dont ever use it myself..if for pizza. Try getting frozen dough.

You did great on the shopping. We haven’t seen toilet paper in over a month here. I finally found flour this week. It’s still crazy in my town and the shelves are still very empty. It looks as if the stores are going out of business, it’s so bad. I have always kept my pantry very full just in case so we are doing okay. I had to put a lock on it to stop the kids from eating everything though. They’re so bored they just want to eat all day. Mine are not used to being at home. Stay safe.

You may want to try Dollar Stores if you have any nearby for flour like Dollar Tree, Family Dollar or Dollar General. Surprisingly here they have more of the basics stocked like flour, sugar, soups, instant potatos, pasta etc.
