Great melody and arrangement! The sound of the flute does make me think immediately of whirling snow. And Hayward's voice is still spot on!

Strange Times was a brilliant album, and this was an even stronger song. Such a shame they didn't carry on mining that creative seam and bring out more original music. That said, Justin's solo albums have been excellent though .
@CandleLight1974 Жыл бұрын
This isn't from Strange Times and is sadly the only good song from the otherwise awful album that it is from. What were they thinking? It is indeed a shame that they chose to make that album and not keep up what they had achieved again with Strange Times. They had so many great original songs still to record. Justin's albums are good but his credible solo career prospects faltered with Night Flight, picked up again with Moving Mountains but died with Classic Blue, despite how good The View from the Hill was.

I love this song and it's always great to see a live performance by the Moody Blues. but I have a message to pass on to whoever produced and edited this video. When the lead guitar player is playing his solo the most interesting thing on the stage, if not the only interesting thing on the stage is the guitar players left hand. Any idiot who does a video that goes away from the lead guitar player during his solo, even a relatively tame solo like this, doesn't understand music, does not understand performance and should get the hell away from video.
@robotronepisodes8 жыл бұрын
+Frank Skirpan Hey dummy, If there is no light on the subject I do not take the shot. Direct your hostilities towards the lighting director, If you cannot understand this then stay the hell away from my videos. My videos are never edited.
@jdb198 жыл бұрын
+Frank Skirpan It would seem the only idiot here is you. This video obviously wasn't created simply to showcase what Justin's left had was doing, and it certainly wasn't created to satisfy what you happen to think is interesting. The producer here did an excellent job of capturing the entire moment of this song, from Justin's heart rending vocal to Norda's incredible haunting melody. If you want guitar fingering instruction, there are hundreds if not thousands of videos (maybe even some focused on Justin's technique). Barring that, go to a concert, make your own video as you see fit and post it. I see from your body of work posted on your profile that you have quite a lot of work to do to become even basically proficient in video production, but stick with it. When I watch a video like this one, I truly appreciate the effort someone took to make me feel like I was there. "Saskatchwan" has succeeded in doing just that. They do indeed understand music, performance and, most importantly message. You grasp none of that. If you want to talk understanding, you need to first become familiar with the concept.
