Even after reading the manual, I was still fuzzy on the modulation in Model D. This clarified what I was stuck on! 🙏🏽

As a real Model D owner in a good listening environment, I can say that the sound is impressive. Well done to the designers. Great demo for the basics.

Yeah, I periodically need to refer to this video because I constantly forget how this LFO/Modulation works.

This was ace! I bought this because, duh, it looked awesome and was $5, but I was stumped on how to modulate. Thanks so much, dude! :)

Nice demo of how the different modulation sources work. I like the detail you put into the video so people can actually follow what/why you’re doing what you do.

i spent, uh, i dont know, 17 hours playing with the model d this weekend. it sounds amazing. i totally blew my mind with it cranked up on headphones. it is, for sure, btw, pronounced “mow g” like rogue. great video! I seriously think the model d gives the model 15 a run for its money on the trippy (and user friendly) scale.

Thank you for your support. However Apple removed the affiliate program for app sales back in October 2018. So bloggers and KZbinrs recommending apps do not earn anything from people using their links anymore.

Great video, Jakob. Only thing I would have mentioned is that the mod wheel defaults to 0 on an init patch and needs to be turned up for any modulations to be heard.

I completely missed it since I made my Init patch from scratch. 😅

Big help , thanks Jakob. I cannot find the button to initialize a patch. Jakob mentions this but doesn't show how. I can find nothing in the preset bank menu...can anyone put me straight please.
@JakobHaq6 жыл бұрын
Tap and hold down the save icon (square box with a down-pointing arrow) until a menu pops up. You’ll find the INIT patch option there.

How can I connect my modwheel with the cut up knop. Most important.
@iagowski Жыл бұрын
good video. I love to the moog app. I have a problem with the potentiometers on ipad with minimoog. If I put absolute in the midi control it never remembers the value that it shows on the screen and always starts from the one that the knob has. If I move the knob with the screen and then manipulate the Arturia(my midi controller), it jumps to the position in which I left it with the Arturia previously. If I use relative it stays in some locked values. I would like to configure the knobs so that they send only to increase the value of the knob or to lower it. Is like the ipad dont sync well with midi. thanks for any help!

Occasionally yeah, but since I used it mostly for bass ... well, agonizer kinda filled that spot instead. But I still do pluck sounds and some leads with the model d.

What do you think of the sound output of this synth app vs. Behringer's Model D? $8 is a lot more affordable than $300. I could use midi controller to control the knobs and buttons!

How can I get a simple “Smooth Sub Bass” No Filtering
@JakobHaq Жыл бұрын
You get the smoothest sub base with a sinewave. However when you don’t have access to sine waves, you can use a Triangle wave and filter it to remove the higher harmonics. When doing that, you end up with a sinewave. PRO Tip: I have an entire video about harmonics if you want to learn more about how waveforms are built up. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oauql4l7h8eardE

also check out Syntorial. It is a great software to learn synthesizers. The first 20 lessons are free, the other 180 costs quite a bit, but the first 20 should give you quite a basic idea about synthesizers. I am also at the beginning learning about all this stuff and basically learned all things until now through youtube videos and just trying out things. But it costs time. I am interested in synths since like one or two months but there is so much to learn and see! If you want, shoot me a message and maybe I can give you further information on that.

So, I get confused, fairly new to this stuff. But, how come when you went to modulate using the filter, the orange filter modulation toggles are all still set to OFF, and the oscillator modulation toggle is set to ON? Do those not matter once you set the modulation to only be one source? or?
@JakobHaq6 жыл бұрын
White Velvet Those switches are only for modulating the filter itself. 👍🏼
