Discussing the gods is always tricky to do in just a few sentences. Basically Osiris is the god of the dead/afterlife and Tawaret called Osiris a softie because he personally released Steven/Marc from the Duat to reenter the world.

Yep! I figured Osiris was the only one who could open the door of the Osiris gates. He's also the god of mumification if I'm not mistaken? Which relates to god of the dead/afterlife of course

Konshu is a trickster and will always try to take advantage of the host he inhibits. He was probably always aware of Jake and saw that Marc and Steven weren’t. That’s why he threatened Marc with going after Layla. He probably prefers Marc but since he got rejected he’ll use Jake to fall back on.

The thing is Khonshu never threatened Marc with Layla. Khonshu never mentions her by name. Marc assumes it is Layla because he is not aware of Jake. Khonshu is tricky.

I think for Khonshu, having Marc & Jake is the perfect set up. I assume he wanted Marc because he's a trained soldier. He has the skills to best use Khonshu's gifts to hand out his justice, but Marc has a conscious... a line he won't cross.... so for those jobs, he can default to Jake... who may not have Marc's skill, but who actively likely the violence and will dish it out to ANYONE. Khonshu probably likes Steven because he can use threats to him to keep Marc in line, just like he did with Layla as well.

Layla's suit is just about the most awesome super suit I've seen in years. I adore it. (I've always loved Egyptian imagery and the wings are SO in line with a lot of ancient Egyptian art while ALSO being very in line with superhero stuff)

Well Marc and Steven are one guy. It's kind of the whole point to the story. Their traits are totally distinct at the beginning of the story and by the end Marc is sensitive and goofy and Steven is violent and heroic.

I really loved this episode and Layla's costume was the bomb. It's still possible that Jake Lockley does have the NYC accent. Since the limo sound system was playing a Spanish song, his Latino side would naturally make him switch to speaking Spanish and Marc's Hispanic heritage does allow him to speak 2 languages and there are several Latinos living in the USA that can speak more than language fluently and still have the accent of the area they are brought up in when they speak English.

So glad you noticed the Scarab on Layla's chess, & it's red, which means she is now the super hero named "The Scarlet Scarab" which the clues were laid out throught the show, example... 1. When the old lady was making her fake passport she said "What eould your father think of his lil Scarab. 2. Layla when we see her in the asylum also had a scarlet scarab on her bandage on her finger. Also Jake Lockley although they making him Spanish in this series to honor Oscar Isaac's heritage as Half Cuban & half Guatemalan he still has his New York accent when he speaks English, Spanish new yorkers that are born in new york still have the accent you know lol! & we heard the new york accent & seen Jake in the series a couple times before his post credit reveal. Is just most of the viewers missed it & didn't notice it cause Oscar Isaac is so damn good at transitioning in n out of the accents. And also to answer you're question YES we gonna see Moon Knight again in October in the Warewolf by Night Halloween Special coming to disney+ i believe We gonna see Moon Knight in the MCU in the near future after they renegotiate with Oscar Isaac & he himself says he loves the characters & he's having so much fun cause Kevin Feige & Marvel have given him the freedom to do him & have fun with it, even some of the minor changes & ideas have come from Oscar Isaac himself & Ethan Hawke has said the same thing about the Author Harrow character.

This is how you introduce a new superhero! Layla as the avatar of Taweret has powers that come from the same source as Moon Knight, but has a different powerset, given that Taweret is the god of childhood, the protector of women and children, it makes total sense that she would have a different power set. I could totally see Layla taking on a Wonder Woman role in Marvel Comics.

Jake Lockley is Khonshu's ace in the hole, his mercenary without compassion or hesitation when it comes to killing. And being a deity of shifting illumination, he would manipulate. I think Marc Spector is the central primary persona who created both kindly Steven and tough as nails Jake Lockley. And the kern observations on the accents is on point! 🎉 🌙!

This finale was great. Great reaction as always. I don't think you were wrong about Jake. I just think he is multilingual. Maybe they gave him the ability to speak Spanish to honor Oscar Issac's heritage. He is part Cuban and Guatamalan. That alter in the beginning of episode 5 with the nose bandage was definitely not Marc or Steven. I'm sure we'll learn more in maybe a second season or in a movie. I don't think this is the last we've seen of Moon Knight and Mr. Knight.

The director of the show actually confirmed that it was Marc. His accent might have been thicker than in the rest of the show due to the "sedatives" or just emotion. But yeah, it was Marc.

I sincerely believe that they made quite a bit of change over time in the editing, I think they planned on Jake being the one with the accent and then for whatever reason decided not to do that so they had to give him a different voice in the post-credit scene. Because that absolutely was NOTHING like the Marc voice he'd used everywhere else.

Remember that it IS a comic book movie/story. And that Harrow being shot killed does NOT mean he is gone. If Konchu can bring back Marc after being dead for a while. So, I would assume could Ammit. Also, because there was a time lapse there is a good chance that Ammit is not still trapped in Harrow, as Konchu hints that she would find a way out. If nothing else it was a VERY cool way to introduce the 3rd alter and confirm that the other 2 are completely unaware. This is also hinted at as Marc is now the second goldfish trapped in the tank.

Yea but comic movies rarely revisit a villain. A typical TV show I could see but I don't see another Moon Knight series focusing on Ammit. I think a second season, if it happens, will focus on Steven and Marc learning and adapting to Jake while facing some other threat.

When Layla came out in Tawaret's armor(?) and you said you your were in love, I was thinking, "Wait, give it a second, there's more lol" And I absolutely loved the scene with the young girl asking if Layla was an Egyptian superhero because damn right people need to be able to see themselves represented in the best light possible. Overall, this was an amazing finale!

First of all: THANK YOU that you show the speak between Layla and Taweret in the pyramid. I hope when i started to look how you react to Moon Knight, that you maybe show it and you did. It was one of my favourit scene in Moon Knight. The Casting Crew make a very good job to hire May. Isaac makes a great job in all Episode, but what May does in this scene ( of course in the rest of the series too) was also Epic. I saw the "Making of" from Moon Knight too. It was so Interesting to see, how she prepared for this scene, trying to copy how Antonia Salib plays Taweret. That was really a great work. When Taweret said that she had a costume in mind... i was a little bit scared, because she is a little bit crazy we must say. Cool crazy but crazy. But when i saw the costume ( I was sitting in my chair, my mouth and my eyes wide open) i was very relieved that she become that awesome Costume. The best scene was for me the "cleanup the suit" scene when Steven fights with Harrow at 17:52 . It was so funny and cool. Every Reactor i saw said the same. That Khonshu and Ammit becomes bigger and bigger i found good too. Reminded me a lot of the Power Rangers...(i write that really...damnit. Write something different)... I've heard that Moon knight maybe later the new Leader of the Avengers, but i forgot where i heard that from... I don't know if this true, so let us suprise. And in the end: Great job with the cutting. Everytime i thought it would be cool when you show us your reaction of a special scene, you made it. So thank you. At the moment i unfortunately saw your reaction of all series i saw too. The other you uploaded i didn't see, but some of them i would when i have time, like Peacemaker or Bad Batch. But first i must see Dare Devil and the other series what was made from Netflix till the end. I live in Germany and when Disney buy the License from Netflix i can't see the series from Marvel anymore. I know that in the USA you can see it very early on Disney + but in Germany you can only see them since yesterday, so i had a lot to see now finaly^^ Lately i will see your react Vids when Andor cames out so see ya^^

This was a super-hero story like no other! I used to collect Marvel trading cards when they were popular and when I came across Moon Knight, I never knew of him and I thought... that is a strange/lame idea. I'm happy this series proved me wrong, BIG TIME! The combination of Tarawet and Layla was awesome!! 15:05 .... all I could say was, "Wait for it...." You were absolutely beaming when you saw her costume and then in awe of her wings!! That would be a very cool costume for you... hint hint

Yeah, that theory that Jake was the one take the physical abuse was confirmed when they were in a very very significant amount of pain with the staff on the body's chest... Jake was triggered out. So it's very highly likely that pain is Jake's trigger to come out. Or just VERY dangerous situations where pain is very likely to happen. Like when Jake fought (and killed) the henchmen.

Khonshu knows what he's doing. When people were analyzing the scene in episode 3 where Jake took over, some asked why Khonshu didn't say anything to Marc about it. After all, he was there and saw whoever took over and killed those guys. One of my theories was that Khonshu indeed saw everything and knew about Jake but never told Marc about him. Why? Because Marc argues with Khonshu and sometimes stands up to him and doesn't always do what he wants - while Jake seems to do exactly what Khonshu wants without much problems. If Marc were to know about Jake, he might try to get into contact with him and dissuade him from doing everything Khonshu wants. So Khonshu keeps Jake a secret to keep his loyal attack dog. And Jake is another paw in his chess set he could use later on. And episode 6 pretty much validated that theory of mine. I think Khonshu kinda wanted Layla as his avatar maybe ? (After all once Marc was dead Khonshu jumped on the occasion to proposition Layla) Since the beginning though, Layla was mostly a bargaining chip. Even if Khonshu had Jake, he needed both Jake & Marc. Having only one alter out of 3 in his avatar wasn't to his advantage. So since the start of the show (at the very least) Khonshu had those two things to play on. And with the flashbacks in episode 5 to Marc's deal with Khonshu, we can understand more why Khonshu asked Marc to be his avatar to begin with. If it had only been Marc & Steven in the body. One alter he can use and one "useless alter" (to Khonshu) wouldn't have been a good deal. It's like having 50% of an avatar. As we saw in that scene however, Khonshu saw Marc's mind. He saw all of it. Jake included. He knew about Jake from the start. Two alters that are very good at fighting, one that isn't? That sounds already like a better deal. As Steven said 'that sneaky old vulture, he was manipulating you from the start!' And he was. Khonshu is a manipulator in the comics and fhey stayed true to that in the show. We also saw how careful with his words Khonshu was in episode 6. When Steven negotiated their release, Khonshu said 'I'll release you *both*' that's also why he quickly gave in and let Marc & Steven free without much of a fuss. Same thing with killing Harrow. He didn't insist that much about it. Because he knew Jake was still his. And Jake would do the job.

Or does Jake SPEAK Spanish? Would it not be handy for a cabbie to be bilingual? Would it not be a good misdirection to do your assassination missions speaking a different language? Not like I was in the writer's room, so this is purely theory, but I don't think that a show this well-crafted included anything for no reason. I do think they were hinting at Jake all through, they just wanted to leave the actual 'meeting' of him to the end, because neither Marc nor Steven are actually aware that he exists (Khonshu says as much in the limo). In Marc's internal asylum, 'Doctor Harrow' doesn't notice the differences between 'bloody-nose Marc' and 'normal Marc' like we in the audience did because Marc is unaware of Jake's existence. The show starts with Steven learning about Marc (meaning up till then, he had been unaware of Marc), and then proceeds with the two of them working towards an understanding of their situation - and where the show ends, that understanding does NOT include any awareness of Jake. As Khonshu makes very clear, this is exactly what makes Marc Spector the perfect avatar...

Steven’s apartment is real. The asylum is not. Its appearance was too metaphysical and it had multiple realms/dreams within it. Therefore Ethan’s character might not be dead and likely is not. PS: seeing meaningful family interactions is always touching when you have some gaps in that area yourself.

I figure that Jake is an alter with complete knowledge of Marc and Steven. Though he can manifest when he needs to, he can also pull on the power of Konshu to force his way into the situation when it is dire, but that power is overwhelming and causes him to lose control when the immediate danger is past. This would explain the stutter flashes that blackout the main character, and, since Konshu was trapped in stone, why he could not force his way into the fight in Alexandrer's tomb. Will we get a revelation of Jakes story, or his overall role? Does it really deserve its own season? Will what we have be enough to take Moon Knight into the greater MCU? Not really urgent questions to resolve, but there are plenty of MCU stories that are still to be told.

Layla was so amazing. I actually "OMG'd!" when her wings came out. I think since Marc was unaware of Jake he was able to come back with Steven because at that moment his heart was complete and his scales were balanced. I agree it would've been nice to see a little more of Ammit, really feel like they needed 1-2 episodes. As for Jake's accent I agree with others that he could be a Latino from New York.

Really happy with this series overall. I do think the finale was the worst episode in a great show. It wasn't a bad finale, it just felt rushed. Happy that at least one of my predictions was correct from episode 4. Khonshu new about Jake the whole time & kept quiet about it. Thanks for the series reaction & see you during the next one. I feel like they said “we’re gonna make six episodes” and just wanted to stick to six. They definitely could’ve gotten away with more . We should’ve gotten a whole episode of just Amit alone. 4 and 5 were the best episodes and there was no Moon Knight.

Well, I was incorrect in thinking Steven Grant was gone for good but correct in my assumption that having both personalities made him unwell (therefore unbalanced) and being only Marc Spector made him at peace. Khonshu kept his word at freeing Marc/Steven knowing that the Jake personality was wholly subservient to him. Jake delights in punishing the guilty (a la The Punisher) so Khonshu was wise in not revealing this third hidden personality to Marc or Layla. As Khonshu, stated, why would he want Layla when he had the perfect avatar in Jake? Overall, a very good mini series and I think that Moon Knight (Jake) may appear in a Midnight Sons type of crossover with Blade and Dane Whitman (aka The Black Knight). I do feel that Jake may have a very hard time sneaking away from Layla for extra Moon Knight adventures now that he (and Steven) should have a happy home life now.

Marie and I still feel that the NY accented identity is Jake...doing a NY accent OR could Marvel be bringing a FOURTH identity into the universe? Hmmm. SInce Marc was the main identity that Konschu dealt with in the past, will Jake split into another identity to protect himself from himself...like Marc did with Steven? We really believe that Moon Knight is here to stay. Even though Moon Knight was billed as a Limited Mini-series when it comes to TV...and the awards season (in effect negating the ability to have Season 2), but what if they explored Moon Knight in Doctor Strange and the Mulitude of Madness coming to theaters tomorrow (Thursday). He doesn't have to have a large presence, but possibly a cameo, an extended scene in the multiverse, or maybe a Mid-credit or End-credit scene? We shall see. Also, Moon Knight can show up on any of the next few movies and/or TV series (Ms. Marvel possibly). Have to say, Layla and her badassness was great to see (representation REALLY does matter) for not just Egyptian girls, every girl, and even more for fans who love strong characters. Yes, you are so right about the scarib...on her suit. Konshu called her "little bug" and in the comice there is Red Scarib...so we think they have mixed a few characters into one. Loved the suit she had. She also witnessed Jake's possible different suit that he may inhabit (which would be cool). She questioned what she had just seen...so that could be something we can explore later on down the road. Also, Jake could inhabit the Moon Knight suit, while the possible FOURTH identity could inhabit the Mr. Knight suit...so keeping the duality of the character present. Will we see Marc/Steven figure out what is going on...through the blackouts...and find a way to over power Jake/Other? Great storytelling. Loved the acceptance of the identity by Marc as a possitive, instead of a negative...which is good for real people who actually suffer from DID (Disassociative Identity Disorder). Some positivity in that area. Is Arthur Harrow/Ammet really gone for good, especially since Marc/Steven actually rose from the dead. The Hippo god, Tewaret (sp) was actually not the one that does those things, so maybe the one who actually does THAT job will some time in the future bring Arthur Harrow/Ammet back to life to fight another day? Could be cool to see. We were really satisfied by the episode. It isn't the best, but it does wrapup the season really well. We BOTH think we will have another season of Moon Knight in the future, but a few years down the road. I don't know how many they need to space it out, for awards contention in Mini Series without disqualifying it...for Oscar Isaac deserves an EMMY, for sure. We may even get a Moon Knight movie in the future, Phase 5...but we are both assured that we will see him/them in the upcoming movies/TV series that are being released in Phase 4, no doubt about it. We rank the series as follows: 5>4>1>6>3>2. Episode Six was a solid episode, but we feel that three others were better...from a collection of Excellent episodes...there has to be lesser ones. Right? Did you see the license plate of the limo? SPKTR. Hmmm. Really interesting. Love the white colour, too. We are NOW going to watch the series in a binge mode. I think watching everything together will allow a great story to unfold before you (us). Thank you for your reactions. You are so great at these. Jake is a very minor alter... so much so that neither Steven nor Marc even know he exists. Khonshu certainly did, and thus in his agreement with Marc said he would allow BOTH of them to be done (knowing there was a 3rd identity in the same body). Will be interesting if there is a Season 2 to how they will all 'get along' lol.

I don't think you were wrong about the accent... I think they made some bug changes for some reason and added the new jake at the last minute... no proof but it definitely seems to be the case. I'd lay good money that there's at least a decent amount of Brooklyn Jake Lockley in the psych ward with the other two in the asylum episode that ended up on the cutting room floor. :-/

Yeah the show was great but the finale felt a little off to me. It maybe needed an episode or two more to let Jake breathe, but maybe they are holding off for season 2. Good stuff!

Honestly, I think Marc would have been totally justified killing Harrow/Ammit. They've done HORRIBLE things, for which no system of justice that exists can manage to deal with. But ok. ;)

Hey, funnylilgal! A too hasty wrap-up that left many threads dangling but provided a great boss fight Kaiju-style! The look of Ammit was magnificent! Loved the comedy between Layla and Taweret! The Layla-as-Taweret-avatar armored look was awesome. I can't believe the Ennead was defeated so easily! Loved Marc's sacrifice of paradise for Steven and their integration. Loved Marc's flying sequence. Cool that Steven could access Marc's fighting prowess now that they're integrated. Awesome fighting in parallel with the gods juxtaposed against their avatars below. Layla getting hero-worshipped was cute but there really is a Middle Eastern superhero in Marvel from Saudi Arabia called THE ARABIAN KNIGHT! Lockley again shows up to throw down and clears out the bad guys! Marc and Steven refuse to kill Harrow and are released from servitude for a TRICK ENDING back at Steven's flat tethered to the bed. SIENKIEWICZ Psychiatric Hospital is named after famed comic illustrator BILL SIENKIEWICZ (Sin-KEV-itch) known for his storied runs on "Elektra", "New Mutants" and "Moon Knight"! Spanish-speaking JAKE LOCKLEY wheels Harrow out of the sanitarium into a limo for a final chat with a suited Khonshu before Jake whacks him to the strains of Sinatra's "My Way of Life"! As the limo pulls away, the last lyric heard is "I'LL NEVER LET YOU GO." Gotta love ol' Blue Eyes and his honeyed throat. Konshu in a suit and the SPKTR limo are both from the comics. The Spanish might be because Marc's family were Sephardic Jews fluent in Hebrew, English and Spanish. The New York accent might also be Jake. The coda can be interpreted two ways: 1. Khonshu freed the integrated Marc-Steven alters but keeps working through the Jake alter leaving blank spots in the duo's life. 2. Khonshu trapped the integrated Marc-Steven alters in a mindscape that would satisfy them while he now works through the willing Jake alter FULL-TIME! When did Jake Lockley originate? Why were so many Egyptian deities encased in ushabtis? Did the population of Cairo see the titanic duel of the gods or were only the avatars able to witness that? What happened to Layla? Why no confrontation with Bushman? Did Mogart survive? Osacr Isaac said "one and done" but the show's a hit so you can bet Feige's gonna back up the Brink's truck to get this guy to play some more. Clever, clever, Mr. Isaac. He can write his own ticket now.

I'm totally fine with how the MCU is handling the so-called snowflake issues. There are plenty of times when I think that sort of thing is pandering, but in general the MCU pulls it off. The key difference is that they don't put down other races or genders to bring up the others. There's just room for everyone. Marc/Steven are shown as vulnerable and badass, just the same as Layla. I think this hit me the hardest with how they handled passing the mantle of Captain America to Sam. Sam fully became the new Captain America as a black man without having to tarnish a thing about the traditionally blonde hair, blue eyed white guy that was a good man before him. Sam kept many of the old traits of the mantle, but also made it his own. The show itself highlighted the problems, while still giving us heroes to look up to. So while this particular instance in Moon Knight only made me smile wide (as opposed to crying my eyes out with Sam), I think it's great to keep up this momentum.

@Ryan Hagen I think the handling of the Captain American mantle was perfect. They presented all the things that most people would’ve thought of immediately with a black man taking over that role. But especially the view from the black community. Sam is the perfect person for that mantle: Kind heart, calm under pressure, courageous and humble. All the things that made Cap Cap is what makes Sam Sam, and that’s what makes Sam Cap. He’s going to do great and I can’t wait for it

Osiris is the god of fertility, agriculture, the afterlife, the dead, resurrection, life, and vegetation in ancient Egyptian religion. That said, the Egyptian pantheon was quite malleable. Sometimes Osiris is considered to be Horus' father, sometimes he isn't. A lingering question I have after this episode is where is Anubis? Tawaret was doing Anubis' job. He's supposed to be the ferryman of the Egyptians. Is he locked in stone? Dead somehow? Does this set up anything for Thor: God and Thunder?

When I saw that he was wearing the paddy cap (have one myself) I knew right away that it was Jake Lockley. Whether or not we'll ever get a season 2, or see Moon Knight again in a possible Midnight Sons movie or show, I really hope we get to see more Jake cause he's a brutal bad ass, and that's the side of Moon Knight most us really wanted to see! We need more anti-heroes in MCU, we've already seen too much of characters like Marc and Steven! MCU really need to grow some balls and make some rated-R stuff, and I hope they can really do it when they're starting to make Deadpool and Punisher, my god I hope Blade gets to be rated-R, he's a half vampire who fights other vampires! My god, even the Wesley Snipes Blade-movies had balls in showing blood! Also, giant monsters, you're thinking of kaiju =)

The MCU knows this too, and they're going to milk this moment and save it for a later date. 20:43 Khonshu's right though, but let's put the prejudging part aside, Khonshu punishes those who've already done harm. Arthur has done a whole lot of harm across continents, killing who knows how many people before their time, growing Ammit's army for penance. Arthur's guilty already. As I pointed out earlier, gods follow their code to the letter, which is why Khonshu needs to finish this bout right here. Ammit will do what she is doing now again, because she did it before 2,000 years ago. And the only person who stopper her then was her own avatar. She won't change, and she's already done the crime. Marc/Steven and Layla want Marc to be free of this, so I get why they didn't do this last act for Khonshu, Marc made it to the field of reeds, he passed the tests of the gods; he has a fresh start. So I really do get why he didn't want to do what Khonshu asked. But Khonshu's point of view is correct. He knows what he is and he knows what Ammit is. He knows who to punish because it is his job to know, this is his sole purpose. He is a flawed god, in that his manipulative, but as a god he sees himself as someone who's above humans and humans exist to survive gods, which is why he often speaks ill of them. He's an ends justifies the means sort of god, and that makes him come across rather cold. That said, he does care. He does what he does to protect mankind. 23:31 Not necessarily. Khonshu is bound to the body. He honored the deal that Steven and Marc made, so he won't ask them to do anything. Jake, however, has no issues with Khonshu. If they were to call on the armor, like Steven did earlier, it should come to them too. I like that Jake Lockley is Spanish speaking! I don't even care if the name isn't Spanish or what have you--who cares. Marc manifested his childhood hero to be his protector and we got Steven. What if Jake Lockley is another character from a movie or comic Marc read as a child? For all we know, Jake could be a character Marc learned about from a bootleg dubbed in Spanish, lol. Aside from that, it allows Oscar to embrace his native language and give us a hero we haven't seen before, similar to Layla being Egyptian. The world needs more heroes that don't look like they all came from Europe. 23:42 Why would he? Keeping Marc in the dark allows him to keep an active agent in the field and Khonshu gets to keep doing his job. Had he told Marc and Steven about the other alters in his head, he'd have to free them all and move on to someone else. 23:57 That's how he motivated Marc to do his bidding. At some point Marc wanted to walk, and Khonshu brought up Layla to make Marc want to stay on. At some point, the alps or Cairo, Khonshu learned of another alter, Jake. 24:47 Arthur Harrow goes up there with Thanos in my book. Thanos knew that he would suffer terrible loses to do what he wanted. It cost him "everything" and he still did it. Arthur knew he wasn't worthy and he still did Ammits bidding. He knew that death would soon come for him, and he accepted that. It's nice having villains that actually believe in their BS and not run from it. I will miss Arthur, but Marvel has so many more and Arthur isn't even a really big villain in the comics! Wait until we get to the big ones! This show was so much more than I thought it would be. I hope we get more like this! This is the best Disney Plus has given us, and I can't wait to see what they do with Ghost Rider and Blade when they get to them. Moon Knight has given me so much hope for those stories when they come. Oscar Isaac deserves Emmys for best actor and supporting actor in a TV series! Has an actor ever one twice for the same show before? We might be watching a first here. Everyone that worked on this show deserves and award, everyone brought their A-game!
