Love it. I bought one a couple of weeks ago and have found it really useful and compact. Having sliced myself a couple of times during the “onboarding process”, it has certainly now bedded in and every flip is a good flip! I got the micarta green one and it feels great in hand. It’s just a shame we have to sport slipjoints in the uk as the locking ones (I have the Elementum and the Conspirator) are so much safer to use. However, I do understand why the law dictates this given the current situation regarding knife use.

"Onboarding process"... that's such a corporate HR term... 😆 Love it. Yes, I have to agree. A hammer is a legal tool unless you're hitting someone with it but we don't regulate hammers in the same way we do knives. A locking knife is far more safe the hand when it's being used legally. I don't know the exact figures however I'll willing to bed Castle Moorlander and all the water in the moat that 90% of knife attacks are with knives bought from Asda, Tesco, or Aldi... definitely not a £250 Spyderco or Benchmade. I'm trying to get the laws changed in the Kingdom of the Moorlands. The land of the free 😆 All are welcome

Heyyy! Thanks for the shout out and the code. Great review! I’ve been carrying my Spyderco Urban for a while now but I think I might carry my Stylum again

Hey fella. You're more than welcome buddy. I just landed the second knife you mentioned too. You'll get a second shout out when the Hoo Knives review lands. I was rocking the Urban Lightweight a few weeks back. I think I prefer the Urban over the UKPK. The leaf shaped blade seems way less intimidating. Hope you're well buddy
@calebelkins2172 жыл бұрын
@@MoorlanderEDC I’d definitely agree. The Urban is small enough to be safe enough to carry but not to small to be useless. It probably my favourite carry. Id like to get some custom scales soon because of how much I carry it now. I’m doing well. I’m doing well. Hey, If your ever in Edinburgh hit me up. Id love to buy you a beer.

I like the blade shape and the handle. I just don't trust the double detent system. I would rather the knife be a conventional slip joint. I do see its pros in a non knife friendly countries.

Ey up me duck. You are indeed correct in what you say regarding the law now being length of blade not cutting edge so thanks for mentioning that and thanks muchly for reviewing a UK legal carry knife. Ay a good weekend me owd cocka 🤙

O'rate shag. I think I may make some content on the change as it may affect a few knives. I've been through my entire 'UK Legal' collection and luckily it hasn't made any of them illegal, however I think it's important for people to know. In a rounds about way though it does make it easier to work out the legal length. 'Ave a gud'en cocka

I have never heard of the Civivi Stylum, but it looks like a very nice knife. I live in Canada, and although we are able to carry locking knives, this is still a good option. I like the double-detent style knives, as they are still very strong and don't close as easily. I have been watching a bunch of your videos after finding your channel from the $600 EDC challenge, and really love your reviews!
@MoorlanderEDC2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ashton. I have another knife in the line up that might be perfect for you. SOG knives have recently updated their Terminus Slip Joint. One of the toughest detents there is. I reviewed the original a while back and they've kept the original mechanism in the detent. I have it with me now so will hopefully have some content up soon
