Lol! I got a set of 3 custom sized Rumberos last year With steer skins from Sweden. Francis Has had multiple skin sources as of late. Playing these drums is part of the reason I sent you a message a while back busting your chops about playing synthetic skins. Like a gentleman said above they will break inand sound even better as time goes on. Happy for you man enjoy!

one more thing...the Moperc logo is genius. Why?.. the figure looks downward and upward...it teaches us that we start and the bottom and can only go up!!!! Genius!

Probably the best stave conga in current production. Cut to form thick staves (not bent). Also, the finest metal parts. Those are great Manito skin. My favourite is the deep thump sound of Moperc cow skin.

Hahaha yeah brother! I got turned on to moperc when I went to study with Niño de Mentira, and he has their congas and bongó. I was in Maine during the first part of the pandemic. It was all I could do not to drive up there and blow my stimulus on a set of bongó

Alguien de Puerto Rico que vende cueros me dijo una vez: EL CUERO HACE EL TAMBOR. Y yo lo creo. Tengo un requinto, baratito marca CP creo que es 9,5" y le puse un cuero de vaca que me enviaron de Vzla. De donde yo soy. El sonido cambió por completo. Ahora, no hay duda de la calidad de Moperc es indiscutible, la madera, los cueros y la manufactura a mano, tambor por tambor. De hecho, más allá de un tambor, es una obra de arte. To be honest - I'm glad you are happy. But also I'm sad because you left Meinl. I don't know how to feel about this at all. It sounds great, but I believe it is not about the instrument only, but about the community and international opportunities that could come in the game with Meinl - for example, I hoped you will come to Europe someday.
