What gets me every time about Trey's solos is, they are very well constructed.....they don't just thrash for the sake of it - they're going somewhere....they have purpose (other than to make me very happy, of course!)....
@scottashe9842 жыл бұрын
I disagree. Many times he goes for full out shred and screws it up. But his reckless abandon is part of what sets him apart. And what do you mean his lease go somewhere? Where do they go? Into the next verse? Into a crazy whammy bar twerking tapping marathon. Huge old school fan here. I love Trey but he has brilliant moments and other moments.
@patrickniehus31322 жыл бұрын
@@scottashe984 the guy is old school, I'll give you that. Personally, I don't mind shredding. And the tapping is divine. Yes, there are times when he seems about to lose it, but his solos are epic, inventive and suit the moods of the songs. I'd give examples, but there are so many of them. Personal faves? Abominations, Dawn of the Angry, Rebel Lands, Invocation of the Continual One, Where the Slime Live, Rapture....

@@scottashe984 anything from the back end of Blessed is pretty damn good, but I think he really hit a purple patch with Covenant and Domination.
