I am to understand that Jared Leto spent more than 45 minutes walking to the bathroom during filming in order to "method act" being a person with impaired leg function. No mockery at all to human beings that are handicapped, but the more I think of millionaire Jared Leto staggering to the bathroom and the director getting really mad wondering where he is gets funnier and funnier.

I think it's a problem with his "method" is completely self-absorbed, kind of the opposite of what method acting is, he ain't no Brando. This "method" only makes sense tucked inside his ego. Sending dead animals to cast and crew when he was the Joker was just cruel, had nothing to do with the character the Joker, who isn't cruel just for the sake of cruelty, something he obviously missed and made that film a dumpster fire too.

0:30 malfunction is in electrical fuse, its actually a common failure in general, which indeed can be fixed/bypassed by a child and makes sense if you stretch it. @@wrathoftheflyingspaghettim850 Yeah, I'm mostly agreeing with you, I was just trying to point out fallacies if the scene was meant as the comment above describes it. (Though I didn't do that very well.) A better way, in retrospect, would be for the boys to be learning some lesson on conductivity, or electrons or whatever science that makes this realistic, and when the machine fails, the people are freaking out over the fail but the camera pans to the springs, then to the blackboard, and then cuts to Morbius connecting the dots and he THEN he does the repair. This is a bit better because it makes Morbius look smart, while also allowing the audience to pick up on key clues. it isn't magic or obvious. Or you go with dozens of other scenes instead of this one.

Yeah, he replaced A FUSE which anyone with some basic tech knowledge can do, that doesn't make him a young tech genius who's so gifted he should go into some gifted kids university. Besides, there must've been some reason why the fuse went off in the first place, and he didn't fix that, he just turned the machine back on. And the next time a power surge happens, it will fry the machine's circuits instead, because that fuse is supposed to go off before that can happen, but a metal spring can't do that.

As a cripple who uses a cane you are 100% spot on. I wear slip on shoes because I can’t bend properly (if at all, nerve damage prevents that) so there’s no laces to worry about. On the rare occasion I would wear trainers with laces (carer ties them for me) they are tied properly and tucked into the trainer so I know the laces are out the way and not in danger of catching my cane. Seeing his frayed, long laces and cane killed me inside, it’s just a recipe for disaster!

@@dustinakadustin It still is a nickname. You can get a nickname through multiple different ways and yes, this is a bit of a unique way to get a nickname. Smart nerds who know they won't live for long should be expected to have a wicked sense of humor. There were no situations later in the movie where the proper name should be used based on what I remember. People are way too critical towards the movie itself and sure, it's not good but not super horrible either. People forget the real thing that should be criticized here which is the lust for money by multi million billion dollar corporations who pump out multiple movies like this every year. This video is not sustainable criticism because if it was applied to every movie a lot of good movies and movies you like would suddenly be a lot worse in your opinion. Criticism like this also isn't compelling. While this video pointed out some actual flaws in the movie, most of the criticism was bad and too ruthless and didn't leave space for artistic freedoms. This is the kind of criticism which technically isn't wrong but is really nitpicky. The point about it not being compelling is that a watcher of this video (who doesn't already dislike Morbius) will just look at it and go: "Most of the criticised things wouldn't hinder my ability to enjoy this movie and thus Morbius seems to actually be an ok movie." But obviously Morbius is an ok movie. The criticism of Morbius shouldn't stem from it being a bad movie, it should stem from Marvel making ok soulless movies like Morbius which will sell well because of the Marvel tag while with the money they have they could produce incredible sentational movies which would forever be remembered as classics and would push forward the idea of what movies should be.

@@wrathoftheflyingspaghettim850 The issue with the lack of camera's in the subway is inefficient storytelling. The scene where Milo is caught on camera could have been easily combined with the subway scene in order to give the movie a better sense of flow, cuts down runtime, and makes it better overall since scenes aren't being wasted completely, when they could have easily been combined. But instead the writer's created the scene to serve the single purpose, rather than seeing if it could be fulfilled else where.

But it's not like getting rid of that scene would fix the movie completely. Regarding the sixpack though. It's ok with Spider-Man because: a) That movie went for the cheesy comic book style, so it didn't need to make sense, while Morbius is a serious and darker movie. b) Being a vampire literally means being a walking corpse, so it doesn't make sense that suddenly his body gets fit. Morbo Attano never Daud's it. I think one of the best soundtracks in video game history is a bit of a stretch. Then again, I only played through the Dishonored trilogy in 2020 - so time will tell. And I don't know how, but I am nostalgic for the music of Dishonored - it just triggers *that* feeling. It is a solid soundtrack and fits the game very well. My favourite soundtracks are Fallout 3's and Skyrim's - Bethesda just do soundtracks real good, the atmospheres are 10/10.

Obviously the complexities of this film were too much for your feeble mind. Morbius isn’t just a movie, but a cinematic masterpiece that ascends past what we thought possible with film. I for one, feel completely changed by this film. It was like watching the greatest minds of the past all come together to educate the masses. After watching this “film”, I decided that I wanted to learn more about Morbius. And so, I enrolled to the College of Morb and highly recommend you do the same.

I enrolled at the *Morb Institute of Technology (MIT)* where they teach the morbian mechanics and Morbius' laws of Morb-force. Example: Gravity is replaced by Morbity as all things are inherently attracted to Morbius, even at a nano scale. Excuse me, morbano scale that is 10^-69. Then you have advanced cources like Morbemetics, Morbiology, Morbinomics and Morbineering. If you get a PhD in Morbian sciences, you get the title Dr Morbius, as it is the highest honour in the world to have that last name.

There were mercenaries on the ship specifically because they were in international waters. Anything goes out there and you never know when some actual pirates are going to pull up and demand the booty, so a group of non-professional non-regulated mercenaries would be perfect for that extra muscle. Unfortunately, like you said, shit hit the fan and they were suddenly fighting a hellspawn vampire that they were completely unprepared for and probably died cold and scared, but the movie just says "Oooh, look! Morbius now has his powers!!!".

ok to be fair, they actually put some thought into the machine scene you mention in the beginning of the video. If you know what you're looking at he takes out a fuse and replaces it with a spring which, if the machine had just blown a fuse, would definitely fix it. Im genuinely impressed considering how many movies have mechanics just hitting shit with wrenches

I swear i rolled my eyes and groaned when the police said that they were ok that they were ok with the fact that morbius killed the men in the boat but not with Martine like bro? There was still lives that were lost. What if they had a wife or children of their own too? and not to mention, Martine helped conduct a dangerous experiment that could possibly and DID kill people, so if anything she's just as guilty

He can control bats because he mixed his blood with bat blood - ergo creating a "connection" with them. Milo (or Lucien) did not SPEND time with the bats; he just took Morbius' formula and injected himself with it therefore not creating a connection with the bats. Remember Morbius brought some of the bats with him to America from Costa Rico.

They're bringing Morbius back into theaters across America because of the reaction people had to it online. Like Sony legitimately think it'll be a success the second time around, because Capitalism doesn't understand what a shitpost is. Here are the benefits of watching morbius daily: Day 1 - You watch morbius. Instantly love it. Day 5 - Improved motivation and productivity. You feel as a whole a stronger human being Day 10 - you have energy whenever you want and can sleep as long or short as you need to, people start getting jealous Day 30 - Greater confidence and self-esteem. Mental clarity. Youre able to perfectly recite the script Day 60 - Increased muscle mass, bone density, and cardiovascular capacity. Testosterone through the roof. Women start talking Day 120 - Higher sperm count. Increased erection strength and duration. You’ve now memorised the choreography of the entire movie, you can execute the stunts and movements performed to a tee Day 365 - Your voice deepens, and your skull becomes more chad-like. Increased erection girth and length. Day 730 - Faster reaction time. 10 additional IQ points. Day 1500 - Starbucks baristas start writing their numbers on your receipts. Your ex wants to get back together. You feel tempted but ultimately turn her down. You need more time to watch morbius. Day 3000 - You can't keep up with all your tinder matches. Strange women begin hitting on you in public. You worry about your female boss. Fortunately, she keeps it professional. Day 6000 - Ex shows up at your door crying and begging you to take her back. You don't even make eye contact-just call the police right away. Your female boss quits. She can't take it anymore and fears what she might do to you if she stays. Day 12000 - Every swipe on tinder is a match. Even girls you swipe left get matched with you somehow. Romantic messages fill up your inbox every day-all 15gb of it-you upgrade your Gmail account to premium. Day 30000 - You don't have to work anymore. Matt Sazama Burk Sharpless signs over half of his morbius royalties to you in a grand gesture of love. You tell him you love and appreciate all the good change hes bought to your life. He weeps quietly, but with a smile. Day 60000 - Scientists propose that attraction to you be classified as its own sexual orientation, which will account for 97.5 percent of the world's population. Paradoxically, you no longer feel any sexual desire. You have achieved a higher consciousness and now love every human-being equally. Day 100,000 - Your IQ increases by several morbillion. You come up with a workable model of quantum gravity in a rainy Sunday afternoon. Elon Musk steps down from SpaceX to work for you. You decide to put space exploration on hold to focus on achieving clean energy through nuclear fusion. Day 200,000 - You've solved the problem of nuclear fusion. You also solved the problems of climate change, poverty, crime, and racism. You have been elected the very first President of the World. Day 500,000 - you’ve watched morbius half a million times. You can psychically project the entire movie into whoever's mind you please. You have achieved everything, understood everything, and solved every problem faced by humanity. All that needs to be done has been done. There's nothing left to do. You give your fellow humans one last look-they're still not watching morbius, trapped in their primitive way-but you don't judge. The path of Morbius was never meant for the ordinary men. "Watch morbius. But if you must, use lube." Those were your parting words. Now, released from all shackles of the mundane, and purified of all imperfections, your body ephemeralizes, as your ever-illuminated consciousness ascends into another dimension. It's morbin' time

What bothered me the most was the vampire bats. The movie tried to play it off like they hunt down and eat things alive by stripping them down to the bone. But all they do in real life is lap up blood from sleeping animals. And when he stepped in the bat tube it was some amazing moment where it was like "woah they didn't eat me!!" But vampire bats are no threat besides being able to transfer rabies to you when they drink... I know I'm supposed to suspend disbelief or whatever but when the movie is supposedly about scientists doing sciencey stuff you'd think the moviemakers would put in some actual research for the most important mammals in the movie.

I thought the CGI was decent. It reminded me of the infamous games and I think it was kinda cool, one of the only good things about the movie. I don't know why some people are saying it looks bad. I feel like a lot of people just think it's bad purely because it isn't practical and just have the mindset that CGI is bad no matter how great it looks.
