On the glaser bender there is a tuning adjustment on the neck plate so you can adjust the pitch of the full bend to your liking. Also you can flip the bender saddle between the b and g string.

Scored a Brent Mason tele this year and absolutely love it. Super playable and versatile. My lovely lady got me a Skype lesson with Brent shortly after for my bday - amazing player, teacher and all-round nice guy! Highly recommend 👍

It’s a pity it’s rather expensive. although it is not too much money for what it is. I’ll probably get one, sooner or later. cheers. ;)

Clarence white was the first B bender, his guitar is now owned by Marty Stuart, the most famous Glaser bender is Brad Paisley who uses a G bender opposed to a B bender.

The Cory Wong strat body is more modern and better for most players. I always think people looking like they are playing their dad’s guitar if they are under 6ft with a regular strat. The fact that Cory went this way fixed my big issue with the body comfort difference between an AZ Ibanez or even RG style body with is slightly narrower from bass to treble side making it ram less into you chest when sitting.

The KWS is my personally favorite strat I’ve actually played. Similar to the Silver Sky in feel, but more my style. I’d use my Super Sweet boost to fatten it up. The Brent Mason is a gem as well.

It's a great story of a long time player behind the scenes. There's something about great studio musicians that can be forgotten but he developed this guitar to be as versatile as it could be for all of the different albums he played on. Something about these backstories really adds to the review. The old finish wore off and so they used an automotive gray primer to repaint it. That's the story of this color at least.

KWS drummer is from SRV. SRV was also hos godfather. KWS dad played a role behind the scene with SRV.

Seymour Duncan does indeed make killer Tele pickups. I have a Jerry Donahue in the bridge of my Tele and it's the best pickup I've ever heard.

The B-bender is normally set to pull a whole tone, not a minor third. You can set that with the little dial next to the mechanism.

The vintage grub screws on the bridge and heavy palm muting: you get used to it. You play a little differently but I love the heavy - my Strat has a pair of Papa Het's EMG's in it and it rocks. Don't worry, your hand won't end up like ground beef.

It’s so sexy in person. Local shop has both the KWS and Brent Mason sigs and both special instruments. The KWS plays similar to the Silver Sky, but catches your eye immediately with the iced color, block inlays and neck binding. It’s the Strat I’d get.

I love the primer grey color of the Brent Mason telecaster, and noticed vehicles being painted that color lately from various manufacturers, so I'm not the only one fond of primer grey. Fender should make that an official "color" (actually, grey isn't a color)!

Those three guitars are absolutely gorgeous. I usually much prefer a rosewood fretboard but the maple is perfect for the Bret Mason Tele and I love the color scheme on it, too. As a huge Cory Wong fan I wish I could afford one of those signature guitars but I can’t so I got a 2000 MIM strat and modded it a bit to look a bit more like his signature model. Maybe one day I will be able to spend the money on a real Cory Wong. And of course that Kenny Wayne Shepherd is ridiculously beautiful.

I would love to see a video with both the Eric Johnson Signature strat compared with an American Orignal strat. Only a couple hundred dollars difference and extremely similar specs in a lot of ways. Not the biggest EJ fan but just really like the way he specced out his signature model (nitro, v-neck etc.). Also worth noting - probably where john mayer got the idea to go coverless on the back of the US silver sky models. The EJ signature was the first guitar I remember seeing specced like that

This isn't true at all. This is almost all Cory specs mixed with an Ultra series neck that he liked during prototyping. Scaled down body, custom pickups, his preferred fretboard radius and frets, 3% bigger headstock, locking tuners..

Brett Mason Guitar is awesome from a pickup and b bender perspective but its the heaviest tele I've ever picked up and played, feels like holding concrete.

Yep very true, It's one solid lump of wood and no belly relief either. Must be twice the weight of my Select Tele which has both a belly cut and weight relief. Nice guitar but not sure it beats my Select.

I think the Cory Wong strat has that position 4 pot so you can't accidentally knock it out of position with the 5 way selector while you're strumming. Wong often has the 5 way taped in position 4 when playing live.

Functionally it IS the perfect guitar period! However, the horrible color, the mix of gold and chrome hardware, and aesthetics of the pickups makes it really hard to like even though it looks like Brent’s actual guitar.

I like Pete’s face when Lee referenced an old SRV red Strat and Pete knew it wasn’t actually a Fender and said “ maybe it was a Suhr or I think I was…” and just gave the camera a couple looks like, it looked like a Fender but wasn’t. I know SRV had a few customs that weren’t Fenders but I think Pete was trying to hint a secret or something to research.

On the subject of weak bridge pickups, I’ve got a Strat Pro ii with V-mod ii pickups. Absolutely adore it but the bridge pickup is just meh. Would a Seymour Duncan SSL-5 make much of a perceivable difference?

Great opening Jam boys, excellent in fact. They look and sound great but for me artist models aren't of much interest. Despite being an iron maiden fan I don't have a Dave Murray Strat or a Steve Harris Bass or an Adrian Smith Jackson. I Don't want a Hendrix Strat or a Robin Trower strat despite being a huge fan of both. For people who do want these artist models that's great for them so a good marketing strategy for Fender. Great sounding guitars.

I really love everything about the Kenny Wayne Shepherd guitar, everything but the pick up voices, neck sounds great, middle pickup has a little too much mid range, bridge pickup is way thin, hard to play rock music with a thin sounding bridge pickup
