Is there a possibility that people on the jury were arguing that solely because she dropped him off at that house, she is responsible for his death, even if he got attacked by a dog and/or beat up? Nothing to do with hitting him with her car, and nothing to do with not watching him walking inside… but since she was the driver and left him there, she is responsible for the sequence of events that lead to his death? Because that’s what I imagine people are thinking … then will that mean any person that ever drops anyone off somewhere is responsible for what happens to that person once they are at that place? …if that’s how jurors are interpreting it? Is that the right way to interpret it?

My son had ITP, where you bruise easily, and then he tripped on the stairs. After they vetted us and figured out that no abuse occurred, the case was dropped. Not before sending me an invitation for me to give a victim impact statement on his behalf for my own charges. Then, I got a text threatening me with an arrest warrant if I didn't show up to the non-hearing where the charging record was automatically expunged by law. "Trail canceled" sounds about par for the course.

It seems like there's a possibility that the jury had reached a unanimous verdict on counts one and three, but nobody has enough information to know for sure. If there's even a possibility of that being true, then the judge really needs to ask the jury and find out the truth.

Have you watched the black swan trial or it's called the ballerina trial also? Ashley Benefield on trial for shooting her husband that she claims in self defense. I had originally thought she may be guilty because I listened to Court TV and Law n Crime back when this originally happened. Now listening to the trial with Melanie Little who also covered Maya, and Karen's trials, I have listened to the evidence and read the texts and things that weren't allowed into evidence, I am now surprised how I could ever think she was guilty.

Why hasn't the KR defense had the Tail Light Professionally examined to determine actual Break Points(Strike/Flex/ directional brakes - inward/outward) to gain a better incite into what may or may not have happened? It seems Clear Micro fragmentation would reveal a tight targeted impact not aligning with Human contact. Mostly larger pieces would be more in line with an accident involving an impact into non-fixed structure. Fragmentation is indicative of a hard accelerating strike by a small surfaced rigid device. Pipe, Hammer, etc. striking a single small area, blowing pieces out as the energy travels outward of the impact point, becoming larger as it expands outward.

Bev couldn't suppress the texts themselves nor Brian Higgins blatantly breaching law disposing of his phone, so I imagine this is the catch 22. You can't get the evidence in without the officers who found it, but once they're on the stand, the texts come in. They would also have to truthfully state their current job and that could be picked apart on cross. IIRC they pointed out Higgins was on a leave, no?
