UK here, no direct link to teaching but know people in it. I think the issue is anything which can be a "dream job", something people get into out of genuine care and love for something, is that you're expected to put up with awful pay and conditions for the level of responsibility and your care and generosity is taken advantage of. And if you complain and want it better you get this response that surely you're not in it for the money. Applies to nursing too, and other "dream jobs", my experience of it actually being wildlife conservation.

I've been a teacher for 25 years, and the job has become more and more a game of hurdles and juggling parents, kids and hierarchy and the most stupid contradictory demands on each sides, sucking up your brain and your spirit and your energy until there's only sleeping it off left (Seriously, who needs a zombie apocalypse? Teachers are already there). Yall managed to make me cry, gawd...

Anyway she’s had burnout so so many times from literally running all of the behind the scenes for the school! We definitely appreciate teachers AND all the behind the scenes staff after that aha x

Yeah the cost of being on stream or videos is a lot more difficult than people think of I also had to talk my daughter about it when she ballooned to 1000 followers and that it can take a major toll. I especially warned her against doing any streaming with face cam. Watching so many women I know get absolutely beaten up by people will no better thing to do but to make someone feel bad about themselves makes me very wary of encouraging it.
