MORE PROBLEMS WITH THE M5! This isn't going to plan...

I bought the cheapest BMW F10 M5 (3 years ago) it was a salvage cat c non-runner and I paid £12,500 for it. Since buying it we've fully resprayed the car and fixed a whole list of issues. It's my car show this Sunday and I was intending on driving it there but after what happened in todays video, it's not looking promising.

BMW’s are very reliable if they are maintained correctly. Too many people buy them second hand and can’t afford the upkeep

@@jimmydigital I don’t think they are the business of selling duff motors mate. It’s a successful business with a good reputation. Problem with BMWs is they are fine when maintained but so many people finance them when they’re a few years old and can’t afford the maintenance.

Love your work brother. Send that beautiful monte carlo beast here to Australia, ill look after it for you. If i was in the UK i would give you an offer and take it off your hands. Mine did the same, most cases, especially as it was sitting there for such a long time, I would change your spark plugs and coils. I had exactly the same issue, 20 months little driving, a few pulls after i got mine back and went into limp mode. good luck bro.

I have an F10 M5, if your M5 is pre-LCI (12-13) models suffered from leaking injectors when cars sit. Problem with this is the fuel leaks past the piston rings into the bottom of the block and mixes with the motor oil, thinning it out and for this reason your oil consumption is greater, you keep losing oil level and as the tech said himself, you can smell the gas in the oil. You wont get any check engine lights or warnings from this he did a "block test" which i assume is for compression in the cylinders when he shouldve done fuel system test. The oil change is a quick fix short term fix as the oil thickness is restored but that wont solve the leaking injector.

This car doesn’t have major issues, really, the challenge is that its been sitting for three years, thats not good for a high compression motto, take it easy Calvin, the issues are being eliminated one by one, it could be simple things like ignition coils, gone!

Make sure you run the m5 on v power only I had the same faults with some of my m5 and when you push it the fuel cuts off the bank it fires on ,and all so if you have a hard mid fire Normally coil pack fail and shorts out one of these shoes you can buy a secondhand one and have a clone. That bmw seems like its always going to need work done to it. Transit is the way to go. M57 bmw conversion next more KZbin content and back to the ring to feel the difference. Combines your love of transits and bmws in one van
